Hartley's

Hi, I have used Hartley fish and chip shop for years, I am a local here all my life and always excellent quality.
I bought 3 small cod and 1 portion of large chips tonight for me and my elderly parents,,, got home and all the fish was wrapped together,,, stuck and broken in pieces and had to separate as best as possible,,, it was very nice fish and chips but could have been so much better with a little attention to detail and a whole piece of fish together, not mashed as one,, overall the quality was great but the service was poor and I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for this. Will be back soon and maybe I can have my fish wrapped individually,, everything else was great... 😁

2nd time I've had a fish dinner from here... 1st time wasn't great but I thought it was time to give it another try, which was a mistake!
Ordered haddock and cod with 2 large chip's, plus mushy peas... Got home and both fishes had stuck to the paper, we couldn't tell which was cod or which was haddock, both tasted exactly the same, considering we waited almost 20 mins for it, I was hoping it was fresh and tasty... Sadly not!
Last comment, chips absolutely awful, greasy and soggy, this place is not nice, and the food is even worse, wouldn't recommend.. if I could have given a zero, then I would have!!

Thank you for your comments. It was several weeks ago that I visited last. A friend suggested your fish and chips, hence 2nd time, thinking it would be better.
Also, please don't insult mine and others comments, by suggesting it was another restaurant!.. You are based on Hartley Wintney High street, close to Tesco's.. I will take you up on your offer though and pop in for another try. Thanks

The food is great here. But tonight they either took my food order wrong, or didn't give me the correct food. Shame because they're normally brilliant. I will be back, food is very good here. They're always busy because it is good, so be prepared to wait. And check your order before leaving!

Absolutely awful, we were over charged for a cheap, un-edible burger that didn’t taste like meat, asked for a large portion of chips and got barely enough to feed a child and then after paying over £16 for a burger, sausage, some chips and curry sauce, one of the managers came over and told us we were undercharged and had to pay for it, absolutely disgusting, never buying there again

My favourite fish and chip shop. Food is always delicious and reasonably priced. I like being able to preorder for a collection time as well as it is a 15 minute drive for me so it means I can plan ahead. Really enjoyable food.

We visit this fish and chip shop when we come to events at Eversley. The food is always cooked fresh and the staff cope very well when we present them with a large order at short notice.

Gradually got worse and worse!
Bought some today and couldnt eat them. all brown and over cooked we were so dissapointed

Absolutely amazing food, not once have I had a bad meal. Can’t fault them in the slightest, have always been spot on. Will happily return and continue using them in the future. Parking isn’t the best out the front of the shop but can always park round the back if needed. EASILY recommend popping into Hartley’s.
