No1 Fish & Chips

I'm a regular visitor and have always had excellent fresh fish and chips here. The batter is also beautifully light. And, the staff are very friendly and helpful.

After visiting this shop previously for a lunch time sausage and chips which didn't disappoint, I was looking for cheesy chips in Tunbridge Wells and seeing the new price increased menu of Royal Express (the kebab shop on the hill) I decided to pop down the road to No1.

£3.20 for a medium cheesy chips filled me with joy. Crispy chips, melted decent cheese and a fantastic portion size was delivered. I will be returning again soon!

Top quality fish and chips - fried using vegetable oil (not inferior palm oil).

My mum witnessed a male in this shop a couple of years back, drop a utensil on the floor he was using for the food, and swiftly just picked it back up and started using it again! Ive actually had food poisoning from here and ended up in hospital terribly ill, the day before I was due to go on holiday! Never again would I eat from this shop!
