We went yesterday after visiting flamingo land. The place was lovely and clean and the lady serving us was lovely. The food tasted very nice with generous serving sizes, the only thing we found was fish was a little too heavy battered but that's just our preference. Over all it was a lovely warm meal to warm us up after a cold and wet day.

Just had the worst gluten free fish and chips I've ever tasted. The batter was absolutely awful! I asked for lightly battered and crispy, got weird tasting stodge that was wet inside and quickly fell of the fish. The chips left a funny aftertaste. Abandoned the poor excuse for gluten free batter along with the fish, ate half the chips because I was so hungry. To add insult to injury they charge £1 extra for gluten free! Don't even have GF vinegar, no excuse, will definitely not go there again

This fish shop used to be the best around for miles but God knows what happened. The manager was critising the lad serving in front of the customers. He should have taken the lad to 1 side and spoke to him in private.

Used the restaurant today. We were the only customers in. It makes sense why. The place is absolutely filthy . Chips very dark and overcooked and the thinnest piece of fish I've ever seen. Curry sauce lumpy too. Had 2 cups of tea with our meal and there were white bits floating in it. Smelt the milk jug and it smelt of cheese. Milk was off. The young lad (waiter ) was appologetic. Saw him being spoken too poorly buy the older chap. (No way to treat staff) This place is disgusting.

Delicious fish, tasty crispy batter and very generous chips - none of us could finish our portion.

Called in for a takeaway on the way past, the man behind the counter was rude but probably in his mind he was being funny. The spam fritter was the worst I've ever tasted and they forgot the curry sauce I'd ordered and payed for, on the plus side the chips were OK. I won't be going back again.

Chips dry. Oil obviously very old and ruined fish. Asked for mayo and got garlic mayo. Allergic to garlic so bad night. Never again!
