Average experience - went for a spa day on Wednesday and was shocked when we had to pay £10 for a ‘spa bag’ which consists of a towel, robe and flip flops. Duncan must be feeling a financial strain as I have never known a spa charge for a towel before!
The smaller pool was cold, always remember that being nice and warm, one of the aromatherapy sauna’s wasn’t working and given there’s not much there it was a bit annoying.
On a positive - our treatments were amazing! All of us said how good our therapists were, I had Talia and she was brilliant.
Afternoon tea was alright, apparently if your package is High Tea you don’t get cake, so we now know never to book that one again!
Probably wouldn’t go back anytime soon, which is a shame as it so local.

WARNING PREDATORY

They'll sign anyone up off the street for a 12 month contract, regardless if they can actually aford it or not. I asked and they don't do any kind of credit check, which amuses me greatly considering its a contract. If you were to get a new phone, that would be a credit check, or a car or anything else. AVOID companies like these that prey on peoples insecurities to get them to sign up, without thinking if they can actually afford it finanically.

Great gym, good range of classes, staff friendly and approachable, gym goers seem respectable. I enjoy the classes and have taken advantage of the smart path which is a programme designed to get you to your fitness goals, its great its free with membership. Haven't been in pool area yet but I hear good things so looking forward to it on a not too hot day!

I booked a block session with a PT (Megan) she is really good, I booked another 10 sessions in. I had gym anxiety (not sure why) but Megan made it an easy transaction for me. My body has changed shape and I'm feeling far better within myself

Thank you Megan T

The club smells of urine, talcum powder everywhere and nobody seem to be cleaning it. The pool, steam room and most of all sauna are cold. I raised it with the staff, they say it is cold because they are saving on heating, the smell, and filth is a result of staff shortage. I tried to cancel but got some weird email back saying "we are sorry to see you go... but you cannot cancel your contract", so I still have to pay despite not going there.

Edit: Came to visit, they turned the heating up a notch, still it's not as warm as it used to be. The smell of urine was replaced by constant alarm sound at the entrance. I can hear it through the noise cancelling earbuds over the music. Are they trying to actively discourage people from visiting?

The jacuzzi and showers are absolutely freezing they are not enjoyable to use anymore. Seems pointless having these facilities when they are to cold to use.
