United Carpets And Beds Lincoln

Very pleased with the carpet. A few issues along the way but all sorted by John and Bradley who were very helpful. Fitters did a great job on our tricky staircase. Have had carpets done throughout the house in the past by these guys and would use again.

Update: Bradley from the Lincoln store rang and apologised for the miscommunication that happened while he was away. He refunded £50 from my order too which was fair. In light of this I’ve given them 2 stars now but will leave my original review below so that others can make their own mind up. I’d like to make it clear that the products and the way they have been fitted are of good quality and I would give top marks for that. The issue was with the customer service and communication.

** Review of the store not the fitters**

I would give a minus score if possible. I had extremely shoddy service from start to finish. The sales person messed up my order so my bathroom flooring never arrived. I went to the shop to find out what happened and they tried to charge me again for the bathroom flooring. I got them to check my file again as I knew I’d been charged for everything previously. Turned out I had already paid for it! Good job I didn’t trust them and take their word on it previously. I was then told that I couldn’t get the remaining flooring done until the next week but they reassured me I would get the first slot of the day 9-10am, you know to make up for their mistake.. . The day before fitting I didn’t hear a thing from them so assumed everything was going ahead. I couldn’t take more time off work to wait in for them a second time so luckily a family member was free to wait in. They waited until 10am with no sign of the fitters . Rang the shop to be told that there was no appointment for my address until between 1pm-4pm. No one had bothered to let me know any of this! Then when the fitters eventually turned up they said they can’t seal the bathroom floor and I’d have to buy some sealant and do it myself! I even asked the sales person when ordering this flooring if it would all be sealed and waterproof, to which they reassured me yes it would. Turns out no they don’t!

I spent over £1000 in this shop and have been treated appallingly by the sales team. I would not recommend them at all and am extremely disappointed with their service. I used them a few years ago for a whole house job and had no problems at all. Something has gone very wrong at that store in the last two years .

I’ve used united for a while and had a few carpets and conservatory done in LVT. Bradley has been nothing but help every time I’ve been in store. Definitely recommend.

Where do I start here we go originally
Spent 3000 on carpets to do the whole house only to find carpets 1 inch short from a skirting and a thread bear bald patch !the fitters didn't even tell me about but I let that one go . second experience had a non suitable carpet fittec to all the stairs and landings with no prior advis that now need changing again!
Third and final went in to the store with sizes and measurements to redo stairs and landings only to be talked out of the job because apparently my measurements were not detalied enough the guy was arragant and not listening to me even tho I used to be a carpet fitter many moons back and tried to give a drawing ,never spending my money in there again and just want to add the sacastic remark he mouthed out to me you have a nice day sir .

Went to buy a carpet remnant /end of roll, had a good selection, also looked at another local company. Decided in the end to buy a nice quality roll at a discounted price. Person in the store very helpful, opened up the roll of carpet so we could check it for any defects, all good. Even managed to get more discount with my Defense Discount Card. A very happy customer

Carpets, lovley. They also was kind enough to leave a big pile of extra carpet in my front room with the carpet adhesive, so I managed to do my whole upstairs hallway and straight treads using all this not the best as I've never done this before but thanks to these i had plenty to work with. Would recommend.
