Do not buy anything from this store, we had a carpet delivered and fitted to a rental property we have in Sittingbourne which was overseen by the Tenant on the day, the fitter was apparently very grumpy because he wanted his payment before fitting which was not what we were told and left to assume payment would be after fitting they also broke a door handle and didn’t say anything, just put it back in the hope the tenant wouldn’t notice until he left, the store asked for photos of the damage of which we supplied and as yet they haven’t even bothered to reply,also clearly marked on the paperwork was a request for the new carpet waste to be left with our tenant but he took it with him . My wife has been onto the store via email and told the waste had been located at the warehouse and that was the last thing we heard a week ago. We will definitely not buy from this store again even though the carpet seems to have been fitted adequately this does not make up for the lack of urgency dealing with these issues. Horrible customer service, pathetic employees

I ordered the carpet and laminating 2 months back and are supposed to get them fitted on the same day. they confirmed through phone that both things will be fitted on the same day. but suddenly they call two days before the fitting date and told us they don't know who called me but there is no date available for laminating fitting as its always done by outsiders but they can only fit carpet on that day!!! like seriously? how can they cheat with customers? how horrible I am experiencing with them. What I am supposed to do now?

Just don't! Countless problems trying to sort out the poorly fitted carpets, and then ultimately Carpetright washed their hands of the issues. Carpets were not hoovered as promised in their "5 star fitting service", skirting boards broken, door runner bent, carpets lumpy and doors taken off and left off. Doug, the rude manager Sheryl (query spelling) and the rest of the team have been as unhelpful as possible. I just despair!

The yraff were eager to take the money for carpeting 2 houses but not so eager to sort out problems. I'm sure that certain members of staff have memory issues as the stories they tell are never consistent and no matter what head office says, it seems the shop runs on its own parallel world, blithely ignoring information passed to them by their higher ups.

Great fast service from Paul and Cheryl at Sittingbourne both very friendly and welcoming. Carpets sorted and booked all for the next week. Thanks for the brilliant service!

I am only giving 1 star because I can’t give 0!
My carpet was supposed to arrive on 3/11. I took the day off work and even checked the day before it was definitely coming.
At 16:30 I called the store to get an update on my delivery as I thought it was getting late. I was told it will be with me today and the fitters must be held up on another job.
When it got to 18:00 I called again and this time was told it won’t be with me today because the fitter didn’t take my carpet.
I was offered the next day, but I couldn’t afford to be away from work another day. My wife said she could take Friday 5/11 off and would wait in for it.
On the Friday morning I got a call from the manager to say she was very sorry for the inconvenience, but my carpet couldn’t be fitted today because the fitter had called in sick. She couldn’t ask any of her other fitters to do it as they already had a full day of work booked. She promised me that I would get my carpet first thing on Saturday 6/11. Yet again no carpet!
Even when I said I would need a refund if they can’t fit today, they said they couldn’t fit it and if I wanted a refund I would have to wait until the manager is back on Thursday 11/11.
I called customer services and the best they could do was arrange for the store to give the refund today.

Please don’t make promises to your customers you can’t keep.
I am now going carpet shopping elsewhere and would not recommend you to a friend.

Doug helped us place an order to have two bedrooms carpeted in early January. He was able to tell us the exact carpet we'd ordered three months earlier for one of our other rooms so we could have continuity through out the top floor. A beautifully, soft carpet, fitted by professionals. I'm over the moon with the service from Doug at Sittingbourne and the staff and carpet fitters from our previous order. Thank you

We saw Paul at the Sittingbourne store. He was very helpful, pointing out potential reduced items to match what we needed. This even led to him identifying an expensive carpet that was heavily reduced as it was an off cut available on the day. Really pleased with the service!
