I ordered the carpet and laminating 2 months back and are supposed to get them fitted on the same day. they confirmed through phone that both things will be fitted on the same day. but suddenly they call two days before the fitting date and told us they don't know who called me but there is no date available for laminating fitting as its always done by outsiders but they can only fit carpet on that day!!! like seriously? how can they cheat with customers? how horrible I am experiencing with them. What I am supposed to do now?
The yraff were eager to take the money for carpeting 2 houses but not so eager to sort out problems. I'm sure that certain members of staff have memory issues as the stories they tell are never consistent and no matter what head office says, it seems the shop runs on its own parallel world, blithely ignoring information passed to them by their higher ups.
My carpet was supposed to arrive on 3/11. I took the day off work and even checked the day before it was definitely coming.
At 16:30 I called the store to get an update on my delivery as I thought it was getting late. I was told it will be with me today and the fitters must be held up on another job.
When it got to 18:00 I called again and this time was told it won’t be with me today because the fitter didn’t take my carpet.
I was offered the next day, but I couldn’t afford to be away from work another day. My wife said she could take Friday 5/11 off and would wait in for it.
On the Friday morning I got a call from the manager to say she was very sorry for the inconvenience, but my carpet couldn’t be fitted today because the fitter had called in sick. She couldn’t ask any of her other fitters to do it as they already had a full day of work booked. She promised me that I would get my carpet first thing on Saturday 6/11. Yet again no carpet!
Even when I said I would need a refund if they can’t fit today, they said they couldn’t fit it and if I wanted a refund I would have to wait until the manager is back on Thursday 11/11.
I called customer services and the best they could do was arrange for the store to give the refund today.
Please don’t make promises to your customers you can’t keep.
I am now going carpet shopping elsewhere and would not recommend you to a friend.
