Tapi Carpets & Floors

I recently used Tapi Carpets in Welwyn Garden City for a new bedroom carpet. Sales staff were great in dealing with my enquiry in the store and carpet was fitted five days later with no issues. Will use again.

disappointed, feel like 'ive been conned free fitting apparently doesn't include delivering the carpets and there's an admin fee for arranging the fitting never noticed until i printed the invoice would be better if this was explained before the order went through

Excellent business to deal with. I only popped in to ask a quick question but they were simply professional, helpful and courteous. Would support them in the future.

Really great experience at this store. We went to the store to choose and book our flooring, current c-19 precautions are good, and the manager and sales lady were very helpful.

The fitters were fantastic, did a really good job, fitted the vinyl bathroom flooring in a tricky gap, and cleaned up after themselves.

This store and fitters also went above and beyond to help us out with an issue with a lvt floor someone else had fitted badly, and we're incredibly grateful for that.

I wouldn't hesitate to use Tapi carpets again.

Assistant let us in, made us hand sanitise, then disappeared. No question, no guidance, no explanation of product range. We browsed for a few minutes but she never came back, so we left.

After a poor experience in store with a quote which was not anything like the actual quote when the fitter came round, Lester has been great at sorting out all the issues we had. We’ve now ordered the flooring and hopefully it will all go smoothly from now on!

Awful experience with Welwyn Garden City branch. Had company estimator round to measure up and advise & ordered LVT & Carpets first week in August 21. We were assured that the LVT would be cut to fit & not need any beading around edge as silicone would be used as in other rooms in house.
The LVT finally arrived 3rd December, some 4 months later, only for the TAPI fitter to refuse to fit the flooring without using a beading around the edge as he claimed it needed an expansion gap. We were very unhappy that we had been sold the product as not requiring this edging.
To make matters worse, after spending days clearing all furniture & wardrobes from the rooms for carpet fitting on Monday 13th Dec and making bathroom inaccessible in the process because of the need to use the space for storage we were called at 15:15 on 12th to say that the fitters would not be able to come as the wife of one of them had given birth the day before.
I had called the shop at 10:30 that morning to confirm how many fitters would be coming and how much furniture they would move and was given no indication that there may be an issue despite later being told that the manager knew the previous evening.
Very unhappy with Tapi carpets.
Edit: Fitters arrived following day. it took them 8 hours to fit carpet to bedroom & 2 flights of stairs but worse still is the mess they have made of our wardrobe doors that they charge £30 each to trim!

Really happy with our new carpet and wooden flooring. We dealt with Lecester who was very helpful and guided us through every step making the process easy. Would definitely recommend
