I go there for as a little treat with my 2 years old. We both love it, the team are so genualy welcoming. A 2 year old it's not easy to deal with in a restaurant setting yeat they are just so understanding. Good food and reasonably priced. Will be seeing me there often.

Place has picked up immeasurably. Staff very friendly and helpful. Set menu meals are very good value and delicious. Poulet Breton was great.

Eaten here a few times, and always good. Good service from the staff. To improve the atmosphere, I always think some soft and low volume music in the background would be nice, although I suspect, not everyone would agree.

Went last night for a birthday treat for myself and sister inlaw. The young chap behind the bar acknowledged us straight away with a charming smile however the front of house lady totally ignored us, so we walked up to her and she turned and said 'can I help' with a very grumpy face as though we had inconvenienced her. Unfortunately her mood did not change. I work in a similar industry and am front of house and wouldn't dream of treating a customer in that way. The food we not of good standard - all in all was not a good experience.

A charming cafe with a brilliant bistro atmosphere, which for a chained cafe is quite hard to come by. The service was fantastic and with a smile, and they were very kind and served us mussels even when it was off the menu and hadn't been prepared for that day. I'd heavily recommend here.

Found a really big hair in my veggie breakfast this morning (can see it in the mushrooms on the photos I was taking initially because I thought the food looked nice). Sent it back and then waited half an hour for them to make another whilst my toddler and husband ate. Toddler then really frustrated at how long it was taking so it was not a pleasant experience. All we got was a half-hearted apology. The quality of the food wasn’t nice with the pancakes really rubbery and hard to cut for a child. Paid for everything but this is my second bad experience here. Heavily pregnant so hygiene is very important to me and won’t be coming back.

Booking the Witney cafe 3 weeks in advance for a Christmas Lunch for five, we were disappointed to see on our arrival three tables hastily pushed together. We were informed that one of the decorated tables across the room was provided by the customers themselves as Cafe Rouge no longer provided this. Not a good start. Four of us had the turkey. Almost impossible to cut with a knife as it was so hard; not nicely sliced but a boned, stuffed, small joint. Two of us gave up the struggle and left it. Majority of the parsnips too hard to cut and the carrots hardly better. Complaints were made accordingly. The Christmas pudding itself was good but totally spoiled by being set in a large, stone cold, soup plate. As a result we were not charged for our drinks but it rates as the worst “Christmas lunch” I have experienced. Fortunately we had the original menu at time of booking as on the day the price had increased by £2. There is a big “however”. The service was excellent and the young lady could not have been more pleasant, friendly and apologetic. Not fair for her to be at the at the thin end of the kitchen’s wedge, and I told her so when I gave her our combined gratuity, having made it clear it was for her personally. I have eaten well several times here in the past and was appalled at the downturn in quality.
