Words can't thank Tony and James enough for the personal service they provided to us throughout a time full of such sadness. You both accepted and showed understanding to our culture and allowed so many people to pay their respects in such a calm, and welcoming environment.
To know our mum was treated with such dignified care made a hard time that bit easier.

At the most difficult of times, Tony & James were absolutely amazing with my Wife and I, as we put my Brother-in-law to rest.

My grandfather passed away on a Sunday (the day before the Queen's funeral) and we needed his body kept in a chapel of rest close to Aylesbury town centre before his cremation.

I was calling a few other funeral directors in order to get some basic information (e.g. When can the body be collected, where will the body be kept, how often can we visit the chapel of rest, approximate cost of services etc.) but ended up speaking with call centre operators who said that I would have to wait until Tuesday to get more information which was not ideal.

I was lucky to have called Legacy on their landline number and spoke directly with James (owner of the business) who took the time and patience over multiple phone calls to explain the whole process.

My grandfather had a Hindu cremation ceremony and James was very knowledgeable and respectful of the traditions.

One thing I really appreciated about Legacy is that James does go the extra mile on multiple occasions and he also looked for opportunities to save us money. We had an initial expectation of paying c.£4-5k and ended up paying c.£3.8k so great value for money.

On behalf of my family, we would highly recommend James and his team at Legacy Funeral Services as a good honest and service led family business.

So lovely, thoughtful and empathetic throughout the whole process, when my Dad passed away unexpectedly in Nov 2022. I have very limited experience with funerals and Dad was unique to say the least, which made it harder to imagine exactly how we wanted his funeral to be. Legacy (Tony in particular) were SO helpful at explaining each step and the options available, patient with me when things had to be changed at short notice and had great communication all round - I always had same day responses to my emails, which was so reassuring and I could pop into the Aylesbury branch whenever I needed anything. I never felt pressure to make decisions quickly or to purchase anything extra.

I really felt that Dad was safe with them in their own Chapel of Rest and they helped us to create an incredible personalised coffin with Colourful Coffins.

We cannot recommend Legacy Funeral Services more highly for anyone that finds themselves in the situation having to deal with arrangements for a loved one.
Following the sudden death of our son a few days after his 30th birthday we were faced with the unimaginable task of arranging his funeral. We spoke with a couple of different Funeral Directors in the area but from our very first meeting with James, we immediately felt that we had found the right people to look after him with the dignity and respect that he deserved.
James and Tony supported us with so much patience, care and understanding as we planned for the day that no parent should have to go through. Their compassion, empathy and professionalism went beyond our expectations, and we could not have felt more supported had we been part of their own family.
Their care has continued even though the funeral day has passed, with James checking in with us to see how we are doing and inviting us to drop in for a cup of tea if we are passing.
There is so much more that we would like to say in praise of this wonderful caring team, and they most certainly deserve more than the 5-star maximum allowed on this review.
