J. Gorringe & Son had worked closely with mother while she was arranging the funeral of her husband. When it came to planning her funeral, it was a great comfort that the firm, and Anghus in particular, knew my mother and were able to offer an additional personal touch to the arrangements. They were professional, respectful and helpful throughout and the funeral we were able to offer my mother was exactly what she would have wanted - heartfelt and celebratory.

We were first in contact with J.Gorringe and Son for the funeral of our mother 18 months ago, so it was easy to ask them to arrange our fathers funeral as well. From start to finish we were dealt with compassionately, respectfully and with lots of positive encouragement when we needed it.

Paul and the team were utterly amazing. To lose a close family member at 43 is hard, to have to navigate that with children who have additional needs is harder. Paul totally understood and immediately started to suggest ways to make the funeral process easier to cope with.

Communication was done at our pace- what we could cope with and not a bombardment.

The service itself was beautiful- just what our loved one wanted. We managed to tick off every single one of her wishes on her list with the help of Paul and the team.

Our cremation on the 18th of October went smoothly from start to finish. The company and particularly Paul were courtious from the start. The vicar Jeffrey was excellent. He discussed the service and the timings for the eulogy, and others participating. Paul recommended our wake venue, and that saved time and was perfect. Overall the whole day went without a hitch, so thank you J Gorringe.
