Having never planned a funeral before, gt edwards (in our case Andy) talked us through the process and explained everything we needed to know.
They made what was a difficult time easier for us all and compared to friends feedback about other funeral directors in the area, gt edwards seemed cheaper but this doesn't lower there high standards and professionalism.

GT Edwards excelled with their high standards and professionalism.
Andy talked through the process with great empathy and made the worst time of my life so much more bearable to arrange.
He handled my daughters funeral with impeccable care and compassion and always maintained her dignity. She looked so beautiful each time we visited her in the Chapel of Rest, nothing was ever too much trouble, including opening up on a Sunday so that we got to spend one last birthday with my daughter before her cremation.
I cannot recommend GT Edwards highly enough, with special thanks to Andy who led my daughters funeral from start to finish, and beyond with the collection of her ashes. A truly kind, compassionate, caring, thoughtful man, who together are a wonderfully professional team.

We had to call Edward and his team after our wonderful father died suddenly in February. Edwards were amazing during this very sad time, and nothing was too much trouble for them and we couldn’t recommend them more.

Edward knew my father loved his fast cars and made sure his last journey on the way to Markeaton was one he would remember, doing 70 mph down the A38! They made sure that everything was as personal as it could be and the wishes of our family was what mattered most.

My brother Paul suddenly passed away on April 15th . We used GT Edwards based on previous recommendation, and from start to finish they was fantastic. Having never planned or organised a funeral they was on hand at every stage to help at such an emotional point in our lives.
Our point of contact was Andy who , through the whole process remained incredibly professional and helpful. We simply could not have done it without him.
Loosing my brother so suddenly was an incredible shock for us, but they made the final process of our final goodbyes totally seamless.
For that we will be eternally grateful.

I used GT Edwards following the death of my dad 10 years ago, and last year following the loss of my mum. Their service is impeccable - they are understanding, considerate, thoughtful and polite. I can't rate them highly enough and I thoroughly recommend their service.

I cannot recommend this business and staff highly enough. Over the past few years have used them on 3 occasions. Each time l have made unusual requests and demands on them. Each time they have surpassed my expectations. This is not easy as l live in New Zealand. A bugler to play the Last Post for my soldier Dad. A farewell to my brother during covid restrictions, their expertise allowed me time to return to the UK and farewell him as he deserved.
