Hilltop Garden Centre

First time visiting this centre, met up with aunt and uncle from Colchester. I highly recommend the sausage rolls that we had with out teas and coffee, in the very spacious tea room.
Then had a look around their gift area, my kids and grandchildren love Scandinavian gnomes, so we were spoilt for choice. Have sent photos to family, and we will be visiting again at the weekend to buy.
This time I may have time to look at the plants!

Very nice to visit. Afternoon food & drinks were lovely. Lots of wares to browse but, as with most garden centres, a bit pricey. Plants & shrubs seem very well kept.

As we have visited the cafe several times and been pleased with the food, we had relatives visit and decided to take them for lunch. We were disappointed this time. One of the party could not have his first two choices as they had run out although it was only 1 o'clock. When our meals arrived, in my opinion, they were not very well presented or appetising. My husband's fried egg had shell at the bottom. The chips looked warmed up. Did not enjoy it at all this time.

Really lovely garden centre, well stocked and good value.

The cafe is superb with lovely food.

Visited whilst on holiday in the area. Will definitely visit again.

A friend suggested we met up for a short breakfast meeting as he was impressed with the service he got on his first visit with another colleague.
We ordered our food at the till and the lady on the till didn’t seem to be friendly for some reason.
However our food arrived very promptly and well presented and what a difference to be served by a waitress that really did make up for the lady that took our order on the till.
Samantha was so bubbly and so polite you could tell she enjoyed her job.
I do hope a manager reads my review and takes note ….. credit where it’s due.

Met my good friend for brunch. We both had paninis which were very nice. Food is freshly prepared and at a reasonable price with friendly, attentive staff.

Excellent service and food, prices are good but have just increased a bit.
We will make this a favourite of ours

Very good for all your gardening needs and a café inside with lots to choose from.
Big car park and great customer assistance!
