ESSO EG STONEYCROFT

It used to be the best price in the area and now it is by far the worst. It is currently at least 10p a litre more expensive than anywhere else. I think they rely on people not looking at the prices before driving up. It is ridiculous.

Friends people, good takeaway snacks and Costa machine, they have not given the 5p litre off fuel as yet

6p a litre more expensive than other local garages...

All good, went to use the jet wash and tyre inflator.

It was late at night, and the doors were closed. As a disabled customer on this occasion, I did need help. I therefore couldn't get any assistance to help me fill the car because there was only one member of staff. I understood that, so my son helped me. I gave him my card to pay, and the lady refused to let him use my card to pay for the fuel. She insisted I make the trip over to the window. I was in agony and had had the longest gruelling day. At the lady's request, I got my aids out of the car and made it over to the window. Only to be berated like a child myself that if I needed help, I should have waited for another driver to enter the forecourt and ask them. I should never send a child, and it's illegal to sell fuel to a minor. She could clearly see that I gave him the card and that it was because I needed assistance. I found her rude, with a lack of empathy and overall demoralising. I haven't been back and don't intend to. I always fill the car in the day, but on this occasion it was to low to get us home and we had to make the stop.

Easy access, A lot of garages are much of a muchness.Classic car owners- did you know that the law requires garages to display that their SUPER unleaded contains up to 5% ethanol but ESSO super has NONE, I am not connected to Esso In any way but I do run all my old cars on Esso super.

Not my favourite station due to proximity to an awkward junction, and the prices are not wonderful either. It's convenient, and generally not busy, in a residential area. The facility is well matched to the location.

I don't wanna seem like a Karen, but I've had two bad experiences here now.

Rude to me at 3:30 AM 11/12/2020, because I took my card out of the machine too fast, shook his head at me, rolled eyes, and then shouted at me to put the card machine back through the window 3 times as I was leaving, which I ignored obviously.

Just went back today (20/07/2021), and they gave me wrong change.

When they were rude the first time, I ended up leaving my order and driving elsewhere, then when they short changed me today, I had to go home to transfer cash, so I could get what I wanted to spend the change on.

So they've cost me at least £5 in fuel, through poor customer service. Not what you want when you're trying to buy fuel.

Only good thing about the place is the girl who works there.
