Went for a special occasion and was hugely disappointed. Main meal was ok but nothing special, small portions. Still hungry so ordered treacle tart and clotted cream dessert. Couldn't believe they had the audacity to serve such a tiny tart with a teaspoon of cream!! And costing £7!! Didn't eat it and complained, they "generously " said they wouldn't charge me for it!! Definitely won't be going there again.

Really lovely pub. Great service, food and atmosphere. Great choice on the menu too, unfortunately didn't have space to even consider looking at the desert menu. I've been to lots of Leicestershire pubs and this is probably my current favourite as of tonight! Really nice building too! Will be going back!!!!

Stopped for lunch with my wife and 3 dogs. Great staff, really welcoming and great service. I had the pizza which was great, simple but very tasty not like some bloated dominoes effort. My wife had the sea trout which looked amazing and tasted the same. Lovely atmosphere with open fire, wish we could have spent the whole afternoon

Came in for a scrumptious Sunday roast and couldn't be more impressed! We were served by a charming young fellow who made us feel right at home. We had dumplings, stuffing and carrots and it was glorious!! Fantastic, couldn't recommend more.

We arrived around 5.45 for dinner. It was fairly quiet, music good and not too loud, service very good and food very good. Didn't have to wait too long for anything, unlike other places recently. Only problem we had was later on as it got busy it got noisier but that's not the fault of the establishment, a sign of a popular place!

Went here for a nice 3 course Sunday lunch. Was nice and the cauliflower cheese was amazing...but could of done with another Yorkshire Pudding, and the roast potatoes were rather disappointing.

A very nice restaurant with a wonderful spirit and good service. I eat a fish and chips which was the best around I get for now in the area but get a look at the other 2 dishes. I am still on the way for my journey to all restaurants around. See lovely photos of the area and the food.

The chateaubriand steak was cooked to perfection. Sides were exquisitely prepared. The staff were polite, attentive and hospitable.
