What do you look for in a English country pub? Banter from raucous locals? Awesome ale? Historic decorations? This place, it has it all. It also has a new Spring food menu, 2 courses for £25 or 3 for £30. The food is a classic pub affair with a touch of flair.
So come, enjoy the beer garden or sit indoors and indulge your senses in the splendid English atmosphere.
Update, they now have sensational Smoke House food. 25 of your English pounds will buy enough cooked meat to feed a small village.

Fantastic pub, food was great. Staff couldn't be more welcoming. It was busy in a bank holiday, I recommend booking in advance. The selection of ale's was great,I particularly liked the IPA pale ale. Highly recommend using this pub.

I love this pub. It’s always welcoming, has a great atmosphere and large outside space to eat and drink. They’ve now built a bar outside in the beer garden and it’s table service for drinks and food which in the day I’ve never had to wait long for either. The staff are always friendly and polite and the food is good.

Arrived in the evening, I ordered truffle burger and my daughter had Lasagne, both were hot, very tasty, well presented. Great price compared to other pubs in the high street. We then both had the waffle and caramel chunk ice cream for pudding. So good! Bar staff were really helpful, attentive and friendly, made sure everything was OK. Thank you.

Staff were so friendly and accommodating!! Really interactive with the children in our group..

The food was perfect. Quick and no long wait even though everyone from our table of 9 had something different.

The food was probably the best thing I have eaten this side of the year... and I can honestly say the best meal I've had since covid lock down!!!

We live 2 hours away and was visiting family which is the only downside as we cannot return every day!!!

Football was playing on all tellys but was still a quiet atmosphere which was enjoyable!

The garden was beautiful with the teepees and Christmas trees!!

Looks small from the road do not be fooled!! It has alot of seating available.

The prices where completely fair and not expensive at all! 22 pound for a sirloin steak meal!
the quality of food is higher then you'd think for the price. I would return if we could!!

I urge you to visit!!! You will not regret!!

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Only went in there for drinks, not food.

I traveled to the UK for business and we wanted to sit and watch a game when we ate dinner. I had the steak and it was excellent! It's served with homemade onion rings on top and those may have been the best I've ever had. To top it off they had a special for dessert. It was waffles with biscoff butter, bananas and ice cream. It might be the best dinner I've had in my life.

Been twice for Christmas meals, food was excellent both times. Cosy pub although it can get a bit cramped if there's too many people in your party.
