Food was okay but expensive. Likewise two Cokes cost almost £5. I looked at the desert menu and straight away decided against an £8.50 desert. Assuming you get a large cake and not a small portion for that price. Read the small print as a service charge is added. Customer should decide if a tip is left. Lovely pub in a beautiful area of Kent.

Went here for lunch and left disappointed. I hadn't been here for a while as I had left unimpressed before. The issue is the price of the food does not match the quality. I have had much better food for much less. The pub itself though is a lovely setting and staff are polite.

I don't ever review places I go to, especially pubs and restaurants but it would be a crime if I didn't review this pub because the food was just so incredibly good!! The staff were all incredibly friendly, gave fast service and the pub and gardens were very clean, tidy and had a great aesthetic to them. Can't reccomend this place enough! It honestly feels like a 5 star experience.

We returned to the chaser after some time, and we were very disappointed with the food. It’s gone down hill so much. Coupled with the high pricing, I doubt we’d return. The burger was terrible, dry, bland, cheap bun, which was over £17 with some plastic cheese. The side salad was OK but was £5.50. The pie was underdone and quite clearly chucked in the microwave. All in all, very disappointing. So many other better and more cost effective pubs in the area!

It was a perfect Sunday feast! We were a big group without reservation. The pub is enormous, and we didn't have to wait at all. The menu is rich. We got Shoulder Rig and Beef. They were not only delicious but also the portions were very generous. The staff is amiable. We'll definitely visit here again. Thanks for everything!

Very popular pub serving tasty food. The menu is extensive and there is a good selection of real ales and wines. The service was excellent, the staff friendly and attentive. The pub has parking for only a few cars but it is possible to park nearby in the road nearby. Advisable to book ahead.

Great country pub with good portions. Friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Was packed when we visited last Thursday but nonetheless very good!
It’s 1 of 4 pubs in the company and very highly rated by all concerned. Parking is limited but the pub does live up to its vibes!
We had fish and chips and also wild Mushroom Linguine with bread and olives to start.
The staff were very attentive and regularly came to check on us. The drinks menu is vast and there are loads of tables! If you’re in the area it’s definitely worth a visit!

Was so looking forward to our Christmas dinner but it was totally ruined by the location of our table.I had seen the lovely pictures of the beautiful room with the fire but we ended up on a table around the other side of you bar area which was the walkthrough for the toilets. Like Piccadilly Circus. The staff offered to move us but our dinner was on the table .I actually cried as this wasn't by any means a cheap meal ,so disappointed won't be returning.
