A pretty poor experience unfortunately. There has clearly been a lot of money spent on the decor, but some of this should have gone towards the uninspiring brown menu and lack of staff. An overpriced meal eaten under a perpetually paused flat screen TV.

One plus was that the rump steak was well cooked, but any restaurant that can't produce a decent steak should be shut down.

I would highly recommend this pub which is now under new management. The overall impression is excellent, from the parking areas, one of which has at least 4 electric car charging bays to the horse sculpture at the front.
Internally the place is spacious with a modern interior, and is immaculately clean.
Although we didn't dine here the menu was excellent and we will return here to eat, my husband wants to try the tomahawk steak which comes with 3 side dishes and a bottle of house wine.

Excellent food at reasonable prices. Staff really friendly and helpful. We had a really good meal. It feels a bit harsh not giving 5*, but...

For me the ambiance isn't quite right for the location. We came expecting a proper cosy, friendly, quirky local pub, and it's just all a bit too suave with expensive drinks, as if it were on a chic high street. I'd rather it were a bit more down to earth, a bit more characterful.

It is really good, just could be better!

We came over from northern ireland to visit family, so decided to book in for a meal on Thursday past, They had on an open mic night that night, (very entertaining) well I can't say enough to praise them, Absolutely stunning building inside and out! 😍 The staff were genuinely friendly and the manageress was a lovely lady, and the food!! It was delicious, very flavourful, haven't had such a beautiful meal in a long time, we will definitely return A*

What a fantastic find...We went in to have a drink on Friday night and book a table for Saturday a great band playing (Drifting Back)
Food was excellent on Saturday so booked again for Sunday again the food was great and live music again.
The staff are so friendly and can not do enough for you..The manager Mandy was so accommodating and she bent over backwards to look after us. such a lovely lady..
Will definitely be back next time we are back in Northumberland.
Dog friendly and real fire is a bonus

Staff very friendly and welcoming! The little extra touches such as water on the table and a colouring competition for the children make all the difference.

The best fish & chips we've had in a long time. We will definitely go back.

Amazing Sunday roast, best we’ve had in a long while. Tender meat, tasty veg and fab Yorkshire pudding. And they had a dog menu too!! Service was efficient and friendly. We’ll be back and will recommend xx

Just had a hugely disappointing visit to this place. Perhaps there was a clue when we were told there was no ice for the water and no beers on tap. The white wine was room temperature, exactly the same as the red. But the food was a massive let down. My wife ordered sea bass, the skin was slimy, not crisp and totally inedible. But removing the skin just revealed a piece of fish that was clearly well past its best, it smelt absolutely awful. So that went back. The game pie looked superficially attractive, but under the crust was a pool of gravy dotted with the odd piece of meat. And the sauce in the cauliflower cheese was so thin, watery and tasteless. Sadly our meals weren’t the only ones that let the place down, the couple at the next table sent their Thai green curry back as it was grilled chicken breast in a flavourless, watery sauce. They really need to up their game.
