The food was exquisite down to the very last bite: we had the Baked Camermbert Sharer, Maple-Glazed Rotisserie Pork Belly Our Dirty Burger & for dessert the Chocolate Orange Melting Bomb & Warm Home-Baked Chocolate Brownie.. this truly was a 3 course meal that was enjoyed very much and left me very much stuffed.
The customer service was wonderful, especially from Sophie thank you!
The only issue I would say is when the bill arrived, not only was I charged the full price for cocktails which were meant to be on happy hour prices; the deposit wasn't taken off the final bill. This was all retified however if I didn't bring it to the attention of the staff I would've been over charged by £24.50..
5* I would recommend on overall experience 👍🏼
But, a slight gripe is that the last few times we have come there has been some confusion about us bringing our small dog.
It seems that you cannot reserve dog friendly tables and you cannot bring dogs into the restaurant. It’s entirely reasonable to have a specific area for dogs, but what is the harm in reserving one of these tables? When I’ve tried to phone to they don’t answer they phone…
On similarly picky point, I ordered a fish course which was described as accompanied by grains and lentils, but half way through it was apparent it was peas and no lentils. Wouldn’t have been an issue if it was flagged in advance. Despite this, the food has always tasted great and is very high quality.
The staff are polite and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We felt welcomed and cared for.
The decor was very good and the place is well maintained. The place packed the usual loud crowd which suited me down to the ground. Having to spot to people across from you to be heard whilst eating is not my cup of tea.
The menu was varied enough to cater for all tastes. We had the roast chicken and fish and chips. Both were very well portioned and the food was of excellent quality.
I would give this meal a ££ out of £££££ which makes this a very good value for money meal out.
Will definitely go back and may even become a regular place to visit.
Thank you to the staff for looking after us. 🍻
The service was very good and the staff were friendly; the restaurant side was away from the bar which was appreciated. Our order arrived in good time and was very pleased with every dish.
Will happily return and try other items on their menu.
Great portions and reasonable prices.
Nice location. Interior very nice. This place is decided into restaurant area (where dogs are not allowed) and you can make a booking of the tabke and pub area where you can dine or have a drink with your dogs and these tables are on first come first serve basis.
