Lovely setting with a fantastic view of the castle and steam railway. Offering table service, good drinks and a good menu it's a lovely place to stop for refreshments in Corfe castle. It's also very dog friendly. On this visit I went for the classic ham eggs and chips, and I was massively impressed with the quality and quantity. Really nice place, good prices and worth a visit

Food is excellent, and the staff are friendly and helpful. My only negative would be the kids menu, which although equally tasty is a little limited/inflexible.
View of the castle from the garden is great!

Amazing pub, amazing staff, phenomenal view for lunch of Corfe Castle and outstanding food. I highly recommend the ploughman's, the homemade scotch egg was the best I've ever had! Perfect location with secret entrance to Corfe Castle. Highly recommended.

Top notch food. We had the platter of which the brisket was an absolute star. I also followed up with sticky toffee pudding which was a real delight. Perfect setting as you can walk straight out the castle grounds into the garden. Covered and uncovered seating. Dog friendly.

It's an old pub with a nice veranda which has a view over Corfe Castle. the staff and the food were great. Fast service good drinks .it's a bit tricky with the parking but isn't impossible. Good for families and celebration

We ate here following our visit to Corfe Castle. Very old pub with low ceilings and quite compact inside but with quaint interior. Clean and a very well presented pub.

The food was first class and the wife was really impressed with what she ordered: soup of the day and a sausage pannini. While I only had cod and chips this again was delicious. Proper chunky chips that were fluffy on the inside. Definitely the best chips I have had in a pub. Portions were just right for lunch and the sticky toffee pudding, which we shared, was great to round off the meal

Service was good and staff friendly.

Would recommend to anyone visiting Corfe.

We ordered two burgers "moves mountains" one of them gluten free, they brought a full one and a sandwich (that was the supposed gluten free burger) I did not touch the food but I complained to change my incomplete and sloppy plate as I would not pay £15'50 for a sandwich that didn't even look like the..My partner's hamburger (hers was normal)

Were very rude and when I asked for a different dish (they also had a gluten-free option, they didn't want to put it on me) they claimed that there was no more gluten-free plates, finally I didn't eat anything. the place is nice but the waiters and chefs are very few professionals.

I attach photos so you can see the difference from one hamburger to another

Absolutely outstanding ambience and food created for this special event of the Polar Bar- Alpine Lodge! The service was beyond good, it was surprisingly quiet and I hope more people discover this and go, so that it happens every year- because it was a real treat and everyone should get to try it! We had so so much fun! Thank you Greyhound for bringing the Swiss Alps to Corfe!
