Cheltenham General Hospital

Small cozy cottage hospital. Sad that they do not have a children's in-patients unit or an ED that caters to kids and so children have to go all the way to Gloucester for specialist medical care. Service is good. Ample parking space available close by.

Out of hours GP called ambulance. Trying to save time and NHS resources I self conveyed at great cost. Over 3 hours, waiting waiting and deaf and in agony to be told an out of hours doctor would call me. Nobody even looked at my badly infected ears.Last train missed, so walking 14 miles with poor balance home. What a disgrace.

I attended the Avening ward for an operation and just a day stay. All the staff were so lovely caring and kind especially Hazel who looked after me . My whole experience on that day was well planned from the consultant Dr R Bulbulia and his team plus Dominique the Anesthesiologist who made feel so calm . Thank you to you all .

Had a hysteroscopy yesterday to remove my coil. All staff were caring, diligent and made sure I felt in charge the whole way through. Had a very clear consultation before hand and double checked my pain was manageable throughout. Thank you to the whole team.

Excellent staff despite the ongoing number of patients, outpatients and over demanding current issues that the NHS have been subjected to.
I don't normally get on my pedestal but this time the government has got to wake up. Over many years the failure to invest in this gem for our people is a disgrace.
Hats off to all the staff despite the odds continue to care for all of us!!!

Excellent clinical care let down by poor hygiene, cleaning and maintenance. How difficult is it to have clean toilets. Also toilet cubicles are too small. I sat in outpatients 3 hours and no cleaner was in attendance. If you are paying cleaners they are not doing their job

I’ve just returned home after a total knee revision and was on Snowshill ward…the patient care was amazing and so was the staff…nothing was to much trouble even through the night…great teams even Physio were great working with you after your operation and to get you home safely …keep up the good work 😊

I would like to say a big thank you to the nurses in the rheumatology department at CGH. Without going into personal details, they have all been so helpful with phone calls and advice. I have had to ring them several times recently and they are always so friendly and helpful. They have been amazing. So caring, just how the NHS should be.
