I was told to go to hospital after a call with my GP. First time going I went on a Wednesday morning it was busy but I was seen to for my obs quickly they then assessed the seriousness and I was referred to major then I was referred to where I needed to he the nurse who saw me and dealt with me was amazing she explained to me everything I was then sent up to gynaecology where the doctors and nurses were amazing I was given a bed around 3 then were constantly checking on me the doctors did check and and exams I stayed overnight was checked on and had food drinks etc. they took the matter very seriously I received the results the next day unfortunately it was awful time and bad news but all the staff in the hospital were amazing and work very hard.
I'm grateful

Went to a gyne appointment this morning and was really impressed by how caring all staff members were.

The great things I noticed about my visit were

*when trying to find my appointment I was approach by a helpful member of staff who pointed me in the right direction (not her job, she looked like she was on her way out of the hospial) which I thought was lovely.

*friendlyness and professional - each staff member introduced themselves and explained where I
was being taken and what would happen, this goes a long way to feeling looked after and respected.

*communication - gyne was running over but it was explained that the reason for this is the person I was seeing is very thorough , which was the case, she sincerely applogied for my wait and also for the length the appointment had taken to come through, she listened to me, and empathised and really took into consideration my wishes and came up with an action plan I was happy with

I also had to go for a blood test, the que was long but someone came out periodically to let the waiting room know the reason why, I also heard other staff members offering chairs to those standing. Which was a nice touch. A lady also gave me an earlier ticket as they had mistakenly took 2.

The plabotanist was amazing, looked after me as I am phobic with needles.

I seriously cannot fault the staff members here, well done kingsmill on an amazing work force, it makes such a contrast to the royal derby. 👏

Always have to chase, referral was supose to be 2 weeks now over 10 weeks, partner rang to chase, was transferred several times. Got through he needed my permission as They didnt take info from GP. Got on the call and staff slagging customers off, said why do we get these call.after 5pm. Very rude, so I said we was transferred, I asked why my partner wasnt down, she tried over talking me and said Did I hear her question. NHS are broke and never do anything there is no repercussions to their actions. We shouldn't have to pay national insurance if we never get the service. I would rate 0 stars for their service, attitude and performance.

The Old Lady Receptionist treated us quiet cold and really disappointed with it. It was having a heavy rain yesterday whole afternoon and night and arrived at the hospital nearly 7pm asking politely where is the Covid Vaccine Area, she sent us out and said we have to take right and walk all along the back and look for the white building, since it’s our first time in a very big hospital and walking in heavy rain and wind we had difficulties finding the white building (not enough sign thou around the area) we arrived at the vaccination place soaking wet and cold! And found out it was on the left side of the main building just few minutes walk from the receptionist area! You can also access the vaccination area from inside the building in short walk! What a disgusting cold attitude she has, all I can say is if you are tired from your work go home and retired! She didn’t even think about others.
Apart from that, the nurses in vaccination area are all lovely and very friendly

I had to visit Kings Mill 11/10 after a drs referral. The nurses on Ward 11 were superb especially Kelly, Jasmine & Matt the porter(funny guy). Nothing was too much trouble for the nurses, I was checked on regularly and updated with information all the way through to discharge this morning 12/10. The 3 people mentioned are a credit to the hospital, I for one could not be a nurse, a credit to the NHS.

Excellent experience with the blood test clinic. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Gillian who did my blood test was fantastic and very understanding despite my needle phobia.

My mum who is 101 was first on a&e and then admitted to a ward, the care was second to none. We were seen quickly and the care we received was amazing. They did everything they could to make mum comfortable and deal with her health issues.

I came to this hospital as an emergency after breaking two bones in my leg. I've been in now for nearly a week and have been thoroughly looked after. Each department I've seen xray, resus, theatre and physio have been filled with friendly, knowledgeable and caring staff. I've been on the orthopaedic ward for days and everyone here has been incredible. I'm not from Nottingham so my visitors haven't been that frequent but everyone here has really looked after me. I'm hoping to go home today but I will actually miss this ward and the staff. They all deserve a lot more appreciation, respect and pay!
