I’ve had all sorts of experiences with NHS, ranging from very bad to excellent, and this hospital fits in the latter.

I’ve dealt with two different departments over the past year, Dermatology and Women’s Health, and honestly the staff from both have been absolutely incredible. From reception, to nurses, to doctors and all in between.

I can’t name any names because there’s too many and all of them have made dealing with awful health conditions better.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to both departments. Sending love.

Absolutely amazed with how my surgery has gone so far thanks to Dr Paul Palmer and Vitor Neves. Fantastic teamwork making a complicated job feel very easy. Great experience and aftercare, cant wait for the next appointment. These guys really do not get the credit that they deserve, Well done.

The consultant rhinologist I saw was kind, attentive and thorough - 5 stars to him and his supporting colleagues. The process for booking follow up procedures, however is alarmingly poor.

I was referred for an MRI, which one is required to book in response to a text message and letter. Throughout the 14 day window I was unable to do so, despite attempts by myself and other kind people to reach the relevant booking time. My understanding is that I have now been discharged back to my GP without the MRI taking place. It took nearly a year to get the initial appointment, so who knows how long it will get that MRI scan now. Here's hoping it's not a brain tumor.

I was very late for my ENT due to a mix up of the hospitals (I initially thought that I had to go to St Thomas instead of St Guys). However, people there offered me the appointment. They were lovely and took really good care of me. Thank you very much.

After going to my dentist on numerous occasions this year with wisdom teeth complications and not having them extracted when they really needed to be, I got an emergency 111 appointment at Guy’s Hospital.

Hats off to every member of staff I encountered whilst there, from friendly reception staff, student dentists and my surgeon Ellie. You were all incredibly kind and put me at ease.

I had two wisdom teeth extracted within a short amount of time (I was very lucky to have a cancellation appointment otherwise I may have had to wait around to have the surgery or to come back the next day).

I was informed about what would happen every step of the way and the aftercare. Thank you.

I would recommend St Guy’s Hospital Dental Department without hesitation and wish I’d of done this sooner. Bring on the recovery now!

For 3 years I've been dealing with a mild, chronic case of pericoronitis. After switching dentists I was referred to Guy's Hospital. The referral process took 3 months. Once I got my first visit, I got a CBCT scan and a second appointment all within 3 weeks. They discussed a lot of different options for me, which ones would be best, and why. Decided to get all 4 wisdom teeth removed under general anesthetic, and waited an additional 3 months for the surgery appointment. So in total, around 6 months from referral date to surgery.

My appointment for surgery was at 15:00, but didn't reach the theatre until 18:15. The surgery itself went super smooth. I felt great after, and recovered at home on a liquid diet for a week, rinses, and alternating between ibuprofen and paracetamol. For reference, my teeth weren't that complicated and I have a high tolerance for pain

The staff was absolutely wonderful. They gave my partner all the information needed for the recovery period, all the pain medication, and would have been available in case any side effects emerged. They also warmed me up with a tube under my blanket as soon as I woke up from the anesthesia, which felt great.

I can't fault my experience at this hospital in any way. Waiting 3 hours past my appointment time was tough without food or water, and it's something I wasn't told or prepared for, but I know how busy and overworked hospitals are here, plus I was given IV fluids so I felt fantastic after the procedure. And sure, I waited 6 months from referral day, but I am very thankful I could get this done for free under our health care system. Were my case more serious, I think my waiting time would have been less. But either way, I'm super satisfied with my experience at the Dental department of Guy's hospital!

A large and busy NHS teaching hospital with good transport options, as it is next to London Bridge Station.

Parking is a nightmare, even for Blue Badge holders, so if possible, you should use public transport where possible.

There is an NCP multistorey carpark in Kipling Street, which isn't cheap.

The ground floor has all the disabled parking spaces. Remember, you must display your blue badge whilst using them!

Purpose for visiting was for dental. Very polite receptionists and dental team. Area A is the area I was directed to. Its labelled clearly. The dental area is a very large room/hall with lots of cubicles. We visited floor 22.
There is a reception upon entering the hospital, which can guide you on where to go. There's also a little open shop to buy whatever you like.
Travelling: one of the easiest routes to reach by car. There is disabled badge parking right outside the hospital. However, I'm not sure for normal parking. Don't forget you have to pay congestion charge.
I would recommend getting on a train.
There's a lot to see with beautiful views of the city.
