I went to the DocTap in Kings Cross to have some stitches removed with Dr. Patel. He was a charming man, the clinic was nice and I was seen really quickly. However, despite the fact that Dr. Patel told me he actually liked removing stitches and staples?? (Guess it must be a Dr. thing) he was only able to remove only 2 tiny stitches due to them being too old (5 weeks old). He then wrote a referral letter to Urgent Care at the Princess Grace Hospital. I went straight away because I was a bit panicked when he told me that I would 100% get an infection If I didn't see to them as quickly as possible, which the med staff at Princess Grace did confirm. However they had a look at the wound areas where the remaining stitches were and the nurse as well as the Dr. there told me that they were unsure why he told me that as they were only 5 weeks old. The nurse managed to remove all of them in about 10 minutes (one of them was about and inch and a half) with no pain or problems other than a tiny amount of blood from having to break the scab. It's been nearly 7 days and all the sites where the stitches were are healing perfectly. So in all honesty the £59 I paid was a total waste of money for basically writing a referral letter that took him only a minute to do. But this was my disappointing experience. Perhaps other services/procedures may or may not have a better outcome. The only reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 2 was because I was seen very quickly, the clinic was good and Dr. Patel was very nice, albeit ineffectual.

Pleasantly surprised! Was scared I would be scammed but I had a telephone consultation and an e prescription swiftly followed, which I took to my local chemist, who issued at a reasonable price. Very happy. All done within 1 hour on a Saturday.

Have used Doctap before. This time certain conditions can only be dealt with by telephone consultation. Doctor very nice. He wanted me to see GP in person. Another £62.00. I would gladly have had a consultation in person in the first place. So you pay twice. I declined and went elsewhere. They helped straight away and gave me the medication I needed.I don't normally leave negative reviews but did send a message to Doctap about my experience but this did not even get acknowledged I won't be using them again if in the end you pay £100.00

Easy to book. Great availability, even on the weekend. Fast queue time for phone support and really helpful staff. I should add that I only needed to call because of a misunderstanding on my part.

Specific praise for Dr Miruna Constantin. Professional, knowledgable, more thorough examination than my NHS GP. Very impressed.

Easy to book and attended at ‘Bond Street’ which is actually John Bell & Croyden on Wigmore Street - couldn’t be nicer, so would highly recommend. Dr Hawche is a really lovely doctor. Much better than endless calls to my NHS practice who never make appts available. Can’t recommend enough. Have now used twice in last few months. 10/10

Brilliant service, ran like clockwork. I saw a fantastic GP (Dr Mengyan Lu). So refreshing to have a relaxed GP give you time to explain what's going on and in return, offer clever solutions. A Lloyd's Pharmacy is on site so you don't have to waste time going to a separate pharmacy after. After a terrible year with my usual NHS GP surgery, using DocTap was frankly a treat and is quite obviously, on every single level, the perfect antidote to the current chaos of the NHS.

Good GP service but unless you’re 100% sure your problem can be dealt with over the phone - let’s face it no one would be unless if being a doctor oneself !- , it’s best not to use the phone consultation service and book an in-person consultation directly. If not you end up paying for 2 consultations (one over the phone and one in person) if the one over the phone didn’t allow for a diagnosis.

There’s no price discount at all for follow-up in-person consultation following a phone call and it would make sense to have one, hence the 3 stars.

I only ever had positive experiences using Doctap in general. I use private GPs often (to save time mostly) and I'm not committed to one practice, so to have access to their services has been just amazing.
Last time, I saw Dr Mengyan Lu in October and she was a very professional but also kind GP. It's invaluable to be taken seriously as a patient to me and I guess many others.
Their customer service has been more than excellent during Covid, I had to cancel Covid tests last minute due to travel changes etc. and they were the most accommodating medical service ever.
I don't know any private GP services in London that can compete with them.
