My wife, daughter and I stayed for 3 nights, after a room mix up was quickly sorted out by the reception staff our stay was most enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable with a good sized TV, mini fridge, safe and a good selection of teas and coffees. Beds were very comfortable and we were not disturbed so a good night's sleep was had by all.
Breakfast is self service and a good selection of hot and cold food is available. The evening meal was excellent on all three nights and can fully recommend the mussels from the starters ( this can also be eaten as a main on request), the fillet steak was the best steak I've had in some time.
Overall our stay was great and we all agree that we would revisit without hesitation.

Went here for a spa break, while it was a nice experience and the staff were friendly and helpful overall we felt it was ok. The Gym felt a little neglected and favoured more machines than free weights. The pool itself was a tad cold and the jacuzzi wasnt very warm.

The spa treatment itself was good and very relaxing.

Unfortunately the dinner experience was a little disappointing while the food was tasty the service was a bit slow and we had to flag someone to take our order 35 minutes later.

The room was nice however it was way too hot. I think we would just do a spa day.

Stunning hotel! Absolutely enormous, so easy to get lost! Fantastic rooms and super comfy beds. Breakfast was average but the surroundings make up for it. Make sure you use the pool (if you can find it)!

Lovely clean hotel with plenty of sanitizer placed around the hotel, also in the toilets and outside the pro shop adjacent to the golf course. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant delivers good food and also offers a gluten free menu which is very good. The golf course is in reasonable to good condition considering the weather conditions and the amount of golfers using the course, plenty of wildlife to see whilst playing golf. The only downside to staying here is the manor in which some of the societies behave throughout the night!, we all want to have a good time but you also need to remember people are also trying to sleep!. So a little respect would be very much appreciated.

I stayed here with my family of four for one night recently. The hotel is nicely situated to the south of Norwich, within some lovely countryside and a golf course.

The hotel building is certainly impressive looking and I can see why it is a popular venue for weddings and other celebrations. The rooms were modern and well equipped with comfortable beds. There was an extensive gym, swimming pool with sauna and steam room, and a health spa. We were very impressed with the place.

One downside that seems to be the bane of old building hotels in summer is that the room was a little stuffy. I guess a more modern hotel would have air conditioning, whereas our room was fitted with a desk fan and a ceiling fan which we kept running all night. The window opened a few inches to let in some welcome fresh air.

When we checked in at 6pm, we were told that only a 10:30am breakfast slot was available. We made the most of the pool while waiting for breakfast, but then when we got there it seemed like we were picking up the dregs of the breakfast sitting with half the food missing and the buffet selection being a little underwhelming. I'd put this down to post-Covid restrictions and it won't be putting us off visiting again.

Nice golfing experience.

£25 Green fee 12 noon on a Thursday.
Bunker Bar next to the pro shop had no chef so no food being served. A little disappointing as a review a few weeks back said the same thing.

Older Gent in the pro shop was very friendly, and also saw him helping with other customers in a professional way. Great credit to the team.

Tee boxes; 2/5 poor, need work!
Fairways; 4/5 good
Greens; 4/5 good

Short 5700 yard course. Tight parkland so won't need the driver often, and will have to think about shots of the tee due to layouts of each hole.

Colleagues in pro shop and bunker bar; 4/5
Colleague in main restaurant, where we managed to get a bacon sandwich; 5/5.. went above and beyond to get us that food pregolf. She was a great credit.

Playing here again in Sept for 2 days and staying over. Based in today, looking forward to it.

My wife and i booked a 2 night golf break at dunston hall to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Overall we had a great stay and thoroughly enjoyed the golf and the room. Food was excellent and service was polite and attentive. Unfortunately the bar service is letting the hotel down as its is an unorganised mess, leaving cutomers waiting 20+ minutes for drinks. We experienced this on the first night where we were second in the queue at the bar and were told to wait outside on the terrace and we would have our order taken there. 45 minutes later we were picking up our pre dinner drinks from the bar to take into dinner. You cannot run a table service when you continue to serve at the bar. I would also warn against booking if you are looking for somewhere intimate- its amazing to see the hotel busy and full of families - but you will be eating dinner with them and you will not be able to enjoy any peace in the process. Bit of an issue during check out as were presented with a bill to pay of all the dinner and drinks we had paid for already! The poor wife had to show receipts to prove we were not trying to get away without paying! Please dont be put off from booking, i am sure all of these little issues will be ironed out as the hotel finds its feet again! The golf was sooooo good, we enjoyed the 3 rounds booked and little changes to the pin positions really change the way you play each hole. Very fair and mature course which makes you think and rewards good shots/putts. The pros were very friendly! The room was clean and spacious (we went for the superior room) - with ice cold air con! The bed was massive and very comfy. You cant hear other guests which also a massive plus. Overall we had a great time and will be booking again in the future, just not for such an intimate reason. Thanks to all the staff, you are doing a great job, just organise your bar! Lol.
