M&S Simply Food

Great to have M&S so near! I love to shop there...staff always pleasant and helpful. Best public toilets in the town! Have given it 4🌟s and not 5 because store just isn't big enough! It would be good to have the full range of M&S food. Hope one day M&S will start a delivery service for all their food. 😉

Went for the £12 meal deal, picking up a main, side and dessert from the display and a bottle of wine from the stand beside it. My husband paid using contactless card at the self checkout. He only checked the receipt when we got home and found we'd been charged £22.97.

Returned to the store 3 days later with the receipt and money was immediately refunded and given apology. Excellent after sales service.

Went into the Café, on a Sunday, for a bite to eat, and whilst the actual food was nice the staff served it up without a smile and the place felt rather cold, like someone had left the back door wide open. It's not a great atmosphere particularly, with the ceiling so high it feels more like being in a warehouse than a supermarket. The stuff they sell is fine, just the experience you come away with is underwhelming.

Came at 12.40 for lunch and the place was filthy .. tables not cleared and the floor a mess.. 2 staff stood complaining about a colleague in kitchen doorway. If I'd seen the state of it before paying i would have cancelled my order.

Quality food store served by pleasant staff. Café, toilets and car park are available.

Fantastic service received today at Berkhamstead store. I picked up a gift card and went to pay at the till point. One of your wonderful staff, Matt, came up to me and gave me an envelope which he told me I had forgotten to pick up. There was a queue to pay and Matt said he would show me how to pay for the card at the self service tills, which he did. How lucky you are to have such a wonderful, customer focused, young man working for you, a star.

No young polite male employees. Most of the older staff need to go back to school and learn some manners. These would help.
