London Borough of Newham

The most disgusting, stinkiest, rat infested area London has to offer. The council do not care about any of its residents, in fact they make it so that poor people here have it harder. Filled with betting shops and pawn shops and yet they wonder why the place has gone down the drain. Parking permits required on every road so you literally cannot park anywhere and don’t even think about appealing because it will take about 12 months to come to a ‘resolution’ which is still you paying them a lot of money. Newham is drowning in millions of pounds from just parking fines alone yet they still can’t put bins on the ends of streets. This place cannot he saved. Leave while you can.

Newham Council are taking back handers ££££££££ allowing unregistered flats without planning permission be rented out as a HMO. The property in Question is 219 Albert rd, E16 2JS. The property must have 12 people living in it. This property has major leaks which leaks into another flat owned by the same person, an innocent lady's is going through hell in this property which is 217, her bath is being supported by one of the four legs, its UNBELIEVABLE to see. I belive a Eva Poczachowska is suposed to be looking at this reported issue but the Danger aspect is not being looked at.

Awful Awful Awful - can’t get through to a human being. Kept on hold, passed on to another department. Put on hold again. Then referred back to council website. If the answer was on the website don’t you think I’d have wasted an hour hanging on the phone. Still on hold as I write this. Stop wasting money on a shiny new building a diversity training and provide a decent service instead. You are an absolute joke.

I have been trying to contact them for two weeks now.
They pick up the phone and hang-up immediately after leaving you waiting for 10 minutes. You can literally hear the phone being picked up and hung up, amazing comedy material.

Disorganised, making mistakes but quick in giving us a warning. Called 3 times and after an hour in the queue, they just hang up. My Signed letter did not arrive?! The website is not functional. If this was a business, they would be in jail.

The bulky waste collection is crushed. I had paid and leave them outside of my property before making a bulky waste collection. They came back to me that they couldn’t collect because it was not there. This should be your issues that you cannot find them. The bulking waste collection is like stealing our money with no service. It is ridiculous that I have to call to London council everyday to chase this issue. And it hasn’t been solved at all. It is ridiculous service!

Good luck trying to get through to the council for absolutely anything.

Trying to ring to give notice of marriage - impossible to get through to anyone and have received multiple messages saying my appointment has been cancelled (for an appointment time I didn't book). Honestly a terrible service.

Have also (tried) to get in touch in the past about recycling. No wonder Newham has the worst recycling rates in the UK - no recycling bags or food waste services are provided.

Everyone from Newham council needs to be fired and new staff need to be brought in.
That goes for the people who answer the phones to the directors. Appalling borough.
