A stunning jewel in the heart of the Scottish border. The accommodation is spacious and extremely well equipped. The location is well served with lovely walks amongst wonderful scenery. Equally visits to local well known attractions are a short journey away. I definitely would recommend a stay at The Mill.

Absolutely beautiful accommodation for the perfect retreat. A place perfect for family to come together to enjoy the wonderful scenery and surrounding areas. The Mill is equipped to a very high standard. We all loved our stay and we will be back.

We have had a fabulous week staying here. The owners have thought of every detail. The mill has everything you need and more. The tennis court is in the most beautiful setting and we had action packed days exploring the area, even managing a day trip to Edinburgh. A perfect place for a family holiday.

We were invited by friends who rented the house for a week. We stayed for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. The house has everything you need and is located in the perfect place for day trips, local walks or to do nothing at all. Thank you for having us

We used The Mill as our base for a family gathering and it couldn't have been more perfect
From the welcome from Johnny and Lulu to the moment we left 3 days later, we couldn't have been happier.
The Mill itself is breathtaking. Beautifully restored and extremely comfortable and well resourced for our large family.
Just a few minutes by car to the nearest shop, but remote enough to feel like a total sanctuary was perfect for us.
Would not hesitate to return to the Mill and would sincerely recommend to anyone looking for the perfect getaway

I have just spent seven wonderful nights at the Mill and what can I say but this is a special place and more than just a holiday cottage! The cottage, the stunning scenery and nature that surrounds it and all the little things that the owners have done to make this cottage truly 5* luxury, makes this place a real sanctuary and perfect for rest, relaxation and exploring the Scottish borders.

The cottage is very well equipped, with one of the comfiest beds I have every stayed in, the views from the windows and private garden are stunning and the large open fire in the lounge, all made it a place that was very hard to leave.

All the beautiful individual wooden fixtures and interiors found throughout The Mill and made by the owners, just add to the specialness of the place. The fresh eggs and homemade chocolate brownie left for my arrival was a really lovely touch too and very welcoming after a long drive.

The Mill is a fantastic place to stay for walking, biking, exploring the border towns or just relaxing. It would be very hard for any holiday cottage to match the perfection of the Mill. I can’t wait to visit again. Thanks Johnny and Lulu!

Where do I even start? The Mill house to the ceremony area to the tipi location to the yurt, everything was absolutely beautiful. The attention to detailing was just magnificent.

The Mill House was stunning with all the handcrafted woodwork. Everything in the Mill House was top quality and we felt so lucky to stay there. I don't know how many times I told Ewan on the Monday night, "Isn't it just beautiful." The history and family connection with the beautiful spot in the Valley made it truly special to us. We can't wait to return on special anniversaries as Lewinshope is very much etched into our story.

The ceremony area was wonderful with the picturesque backdrop. A few friends have said it was the best ceremony they have ever experienced and we know the views with the ring feeder covered in greenery contributed to that.

The effort that Lulu and Johnny put into making out wedding experience fantastic was outstanding. They made us feel special through every part of the experience. We felt truly welcomed and the little touches such as serving us tea and coffees on trays with delicious cakes made us realise we have picked people to help us make our dream wedding come true. Lulu has a talent to see the beauty in all sorts of items. The rustic charm with a side of elegance was the theme we were aiming to create and Lulu absolutely hit the nail on the head with her decorative items.

Spending our wedding night in the yurt with candles aligning our path to get there was similar to something out of a fairytale. The treats, champagne and breakfast Lulu and Johnny left added to the experience.

My granny expressed our experience brilliantly when she said, 'The wedding was like a dream." When we sat on the seesaw overlooking the Mill house on the Sunday night, we wondered is this magic as it felt so serene, beautiful and blessed. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding week truly fantastic.
