Has become my "go to" place for almost any non-food item before going online to any of the big names. Haven't yet let me down. I have always found what I have been looking for and always been a cheaper option when taking into account postage, packing, delivery charges etc (even allowing for my own transport - I live 2miles away). Staff are great too. (They know what they have in stock and and are quick to offer a "fit for purpose" alternative if they don't have a particular brand or pack size)

If you're short of that little gizmo to finish your DIY project then Abbott's in Debenham is the place to go! They stock EVERYTHING in a space not much larger than my garage, but I must warn you that they have let me down on the odd occasion: 3 times in the last 10 years! (assuming that I go there at least once a week, that's less than a 0.5% failure rate). WELL DONE HENRY!

Excellent. Compared brilliantly with online. I wanted a light bulb and was allowed to take two just in case one did not fit and they said there would be no problem getting my money refunded for the one that I did not need. If I had tried to do that online I would have had to post it back with all of the cost. While the light bulb that I wanted was only 50p more than the online one when you added in VAT Abbott's bulb was 30p cheaper and when you added in postage it was a whopping £10 more. So better service and a £10 saving what's not to like.
If they don't sell it; you don't need it. Remarkable shop.

The best small hardware shop around. They have virtually anything you need in paints, fittings, tools, homeware small accessories etc for jobs. Friendly and unlike most village hardware shops, their prices are good. I use them over the big chain stores every time
