Yes this is a hardware store but there’s much more than just hardware .First there’s the kitchen cookware shop full of quality stuff,the main shop has a large easy to use car park where you’ll find a good range of compost peat bark etc everything for the garden or greenhouse,inside the shop there’s a good range garden tools garden machinery lawnmowers chainsaws etc there’s also the hardware of course and there’s a section for workshop tools,hand tools power tools
woodwork machinery and everything that goes with them. I’ve used this shop for more years than I care to remember and I’ve found the after sales service is second to none.

A truly brilliant store with very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff that I always go to first for my diy requirements but, oh, their website is so frustrating when searching to find, for example, as today, woodscrews (hardware); it showed everything but. I know the type of items I require are stocked but I was just checking after size specifics. I've experienced this frustratiion before so, please, Mr Elmer, get your website improved.

This shop (which has been there over 60 years ) has grown from a simple hardware shop into a small " garden centre" it's a real treasure trove staffed by helpful knowledgable people. Visit their website to see exactly what they sell.

What a brilliant store this is, with staff to match. I only needed one screw and nut and I got it. At Wicks and all the big DIY stores I would have had to buy at least four.

The best hardware shop in the area, they have a wide range of great quality stock at a good price, and are extremely helpful and able to advise you on the right tools for whatever job you are doing.
