excellent well stocked diy shop.l like this shop as they sell all those fittings that the bigger stores do not sell..They sell a lot of timber and will if asked cut the timber to your requirements.

Generally have everything you need on a day-to-day basis for most tasks. Might not have some more unusual items that it's not worth for them to have a stock of (but they'll order it if you ask for it!) and sometimes run out of items that need to be ordered in a bulk (I wanted some oak Scotia for example) which they need to wait until they have enough items to make up an order for.

What you do get, however, is the expertise. You can say what you're trying to do and get a myriad of options as to how to achieve the outcome.

I prefer these small local hardware stores. They always seem to have everything I need. But you can't beat the service. Nice people and very helpful.

Friendly family run place. Been there a long time. Very helpful, sheet material can be cut to required sizes in the workplace at the back.

Maybe it's good that they are closing, because you may be lucky and be served with some civility or you could end up being served by an ar5ehole. Considering I have shopped there before for my timber I expect to be treated as I treat others. 1 star now you know who I got served by.

Answered the phone out of hours. Took my order, sent the payment details by text and delivered the products the next day in the morning.

I have been going to Chamberlain Bros now for at least the past ten years. I have always found the team very friendly, helpful and knowledgable and will always come up with an alternative way around something if you ask. If they haven't got you want they can usually get it for you.

Brilliant service. Order taken over phone. Delivered within the hour. Lovely to catch up with delivery driver who was an old friend.
