I feel i must praise Glow-Worm. I have just replaced my boiler after 38 years. I have to say it was still working, and in all that time I have only replaced the clock twice, and two pumps on the tank in the airing cupboard. Although the boiler was still in good working order I felt that if it was to breakdown it would probably be in the winter. I bet my new boiler won't last that long. WELL DONE GLOW-WORM

Absolutely appalling service, took me 45 minutes to finally be able to speak to someone. And when they finally sent someone to come look at my boiler he claimed it wasn't a boiler issue but in fact a piping problem, after paying £150 to have another engineer come to look at it and we were told that's absolute rubbish the issue is with the boiler. After ringing them and explaining what this gentleman had said they refused to send another engineer out as their engineer said its a pipe work problem, so when I asked the man over the phone if what he was saying was that they wouldn't send anyone else out and we couldn't get anyone to fix the problem without voiding our warranty and he just apologised and said there was nothing they could do. A disgusting company I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

Do not buy their boilers until you read. I had a brand new boiler fitted on 05 01 18 Beatacom2-28. Its already fluactuating hot and ice cold when i run hot tap, I rang service desk and spoke to a lady at Belper centre, Valiant call centre who asked for a £90 deposit, which will be held in my account until an engineer confirms a boiler problem. I can ask the installer to contact them in which case i would'nt have to leave a deposit. Where else do you pay for a repair under gaurantee? Madness pay before i get any repair done. I wish i read reviews before buying...

Might as well make their boilers out of chocolate. We had an Ultracom 35 installed from new in a new build - 4.5 years later (and only 6 months after its last service) it completely capitulated over night with no warning leaving a repair bill in excess of £1k (clearly not viable)

It’s clear that they only give a 2 year warranty on the boiler as that’s about all it’s expected to last.

Stay well clear.

been a month I have had a terrible with glow worm .My boiler is only 2 years old and now broken .It has a 15 year warranty' have had no heating or hot water for a month .Despite complaining regularly. I now have to take legal action .

Have a boiler that's 14 months old which has already not working. Called Glow Worm, the customer service was appalling. Both people I spoke to were downright rude and unhelpful.

What a poor service quality company Glow Worm are. We have had a Glow Worm Ultra com 24cxi installed and about every two years have had the diverter valve replaced. This has been done under warranty previously but now as we are three months outside the 7 year warranty they have decided that they are not responsible for the obviously defective part. But we can understand that but it is not the disappointing part. We have been without heating and hot water since New Years Eve (retired pensioners) and we were told by the Glow Worm rep given the circumstances they would honour the warranty and to wait for a call from the engineer. But we found out today 7th Jan that the rep's manger has over ruled the instruction and stopped the engineers visit. They could not even be bothered to tell us. We had to chase up and find out. As the boiler is 7 years it should not be end of life but we will discuss with our heating engineer about replacing with a new one and it certainly will not be a Glow Worm or Valiant (same company) we will use a reputable company offering a 10 year warranty as they have confidence in their products. Definitely a company to avoid

Such poor customer service. Boiler serviced yearly by GW from new, never had a single fault. Latest routine service visit at 5 1/2 years old and all of a sudden it's deemed as beyond economic repair, and GW won't repair it ! Customer 'service' totally unhelpful and couldn't care less. Will never buy Glowworm again.
