National trust property on hillside near Cupar. The house is closed during winter months but car park and grounds open year round. The hilltop is a short but steep climb over fields and stiles. The view is worth the effort.

If you go on top of Hill of Tarvit or just wander on the grounds, there's lots to see, nice gardens, trees and more. All year round there is something different.
Try to catch the Tearoom (when it's open, seasonal opening times) nice and quaint, or just enjoy the wildlife or the Views.

Lovely walk around the grounds today. Visited the Victorian Laundry. Maids were very hard working back in the day.

Loved it! The place you must see in Scotland.

Walked here from Ceres. Beautiful gardens and nice hike up to the top. Note that there are cattle in the upper field as you head up.

Did not enter the house, but will be back to at some point.

place is stunning .... but you will be stopped from taking a picture... as you are not taking it on phone...my setup looks probably too professional. i even been to dare to ask for permission.... whole this stopped me for registering membership with trust

Grounds only open for now - an elegant house set in a variety of beautiful Fife landscapes - extinct volcano, walled garden, woodland walks, parkland (inc golf course).
Peaceful, restful, just three minutes from Cupar.

A little know gem of a home under NTS ownership. A large family home but cosy!!
Each room telling its own story of family life.
The surrounding gardens are also a delight to walk around, definitely worth a visit. All volunteers told you stories and snippets in each room.
Toilets are located in the car park and are very well looked after.
Definitely recommend a visit if your in Fife.
