Interesting location on my walk along the Montgomery Canal between Welshpool and Berriew. Ideal for the those who require a break with the Horse Shoes very close by the cut that has all the facilities to hand. For me just a short stop for water and an energy bar at the handy picnic table or benches provided. Pity about the substantial traffic noise from the nearby Welshpool to Newtown main road but that soon fades on the restart of this beautiful walk. No horse drawn barge this time but no doubt will return next season.
