Absolutely brilliant stay from start to finish! Staff amazing, all very friendly and hard working. Ideal place for kids. Food really great and not overpriced, service was super quick, ideal for hungry boys!. Caravan was great, other than smelled a bit smoky inside it was a really nice stay. Was a bit wary after reading negative comments but so glad we went and would love to come back. Can't really say anything other than good things about Sundrum . Thanks all

Liked: Pitch was flat enough in a very slight gradient.
Facilities were clean and well maintained and close enough that the kids could go to the toilet on their own at nighttime without worrying about them.
Right next to park, shop and entertainment so again, kids can go a wander and they're not too far away.
I went myself with 6 kids ranging from 9 -13 and they all had plenty to do and didn't get bored.

Disliked: Prices for activities were too expensive.
£7.50 each child for 30min pool party
£4 each for mini golf which isn't too bad but the mini golf was very basic although the kids did enjoy it (I ended up paying for one and sharing the club and ball)

There for 10 day stay with grandchildren. They loved it. Ate in the restaurant and food not bad. Site very well maintained. The pool area ideal for a 9yr old and 7yr old. Pool attendants were great. Caravan was not the best, seating stained and seats very uncomfortable to sit on. Equipment in kitchen was very basic. 3 pans and little else. The oven was really slow cooking as well. Beds ok. Ayr itself has plenty for kids to do. The evening entertainment the kids really enjoyed. If went again would have to have a better caravan. Overall would recommend for families

Caravan was lovely and clean but there was an overwhelming smell of dogs. The mattress in the main bedroom was dirty, smelt of dog and really uncomfortable. The lack of entertainment and activities for children with disabilities was disappointing. Staff were helpful when the shower was broken and were there quickly to sort it but other than that it was just a map put in your hand and you’re left to find things out for yourself. The food in the chip shop on site was hit and miss, chips under cooked and lots of things unavailable! I feel for the price the park needs a bit of an upgrade, the pool was fine but the slide and showers could be much better. Definitely needs to be upgraded to be all inclusive for children of all abilities. Would be good to have more activities on during the day for younger kids.

VIBRANT SITE. It’s located in a lovely part of the world that not many tourists venture to. If you do come here be sure to check out Ayr for shopping and food as well as Culzean Castle.

As to the site, it’s not the best Park Dean we’ve been to; felt a little tired and could do with a bit of TLC. On example is a distinct lack of signage. We ended up driving our caravan down a one way street.

The pitches were small and very close together. If you’re coming for a relaxing weekend then think again, it was a very vibrant site with a party atmosphere.

The bingo was great though as was the food.

Liked: The reception team were friendly and helpful, the shop onsite is useful, there's a bar if you fancy a drink, the toilets were fine and the campsite was in good order.

Disliked: As a mature couple the site was not suited to our style. This site is aimed at families and I'm sure for them it's great. We prefer a quieter site. This was MY mistake and not at all the fault of the campsite.

Our first impression was lovely location easy to find. We arrived early evening so reception was closed but security helped us get our keys and pointed us in the direction of our caravan. This isn’t much parking around the caravans so if you have more than one car it would be a struggle.

On opening the door to the caravan the smell 🤢 was awful and the stains🤮 on the sofa like it had not been cleaned in years. It was hard to get over the smell. We had to open the windows and just stay out of the living area. The rest of the caravan was nice, clean and didn’t smell as all. I reported this and a leaking radiator the following morning. The radiator was fixed but nothing was done about the smell in the living. We had to buy some Febreze to try and get rid of the smell and cover the seats. Reported again the next day and was promised someone would sort it but that was a lye nothing was done. Plus we couldn’t be moved. We were left only using the living area for eating as it made us all feel sick 🤮 and coughing 😷 because we couldn’t breathe.

If you stay here don’t stay in CARAVAN V24 the living area needs a deep clean. We did noticed that the other caravan’s had a sticker when cleaned ready for the next guests ours didn’t have one. But it did have a sticker no dogs or smoking but it was clear that was allowed. We was very disappointed with the caravan.

Exploring the site we found a mixed sports pitch for football and basketball, small crazy golf and kids play area. There is a site shop and what looked like chippy, which was closed. We had an evening meal at restaurant which was very nice. The entrainment was fun all the kids were up joining in and dancing. I had read about the arcade being run down but this wasn’t the case. It did get busy in the evening but that is expected.

The final thing for me was no gates or security on the entrance so anyone can just drive in or walk around.

We had a lovely time away. The arcade staff (working weekend of 29th October 2022) were absolutely fantastic with our son who has additional needs and non verbal. We can’t thank them enough for including him and making a special effort with him as he was unable to join in the entertainment. Reception staff and bar staff were also very helpful.
