The Range, Canterbury

I love the literal range of products. Prices are generally very reasonable, where they happen to be marked up, but many items were missing shelf prices. And as someone who struggles with sensory overload I found the music being played completely overwhelming. It made me want to leave but I had to force myself to cope. I hope the store reads this review and actions this. It’s ableist to assume that those with hypersensitivity do not visit or work at your store. It would make me consider not visiting again simply due to this. I realise other shops share this approach but there is something about the music selection, volume and acoustics that make it unbearable at your store.

Got used to their "lucky dip" approach to pricing but their shop floor standards are shockingly poor.

Bought a calor gas heater £163, so not cheap. delivered from another company. so badly engineered I had to wait to get a professional to put together and then the ignition didn't work. In my view a dangerous and potentially lethal bit of kit. I am surprised they put their name to it!
I will await their response before contacting trading standards.
I will not be using this company again!

Great store, have loads or "Range", hence the name! Only down side is some stock on the shop floor was damaged and lot's of items didn't have price tags on them, so we just didn't bother buying them! 🤷‍♂️

Shop has a variety of products ranging from household items to furniture, pets feeds and items. Store Assistant was also helpful in getting the item I went for. Friendly cashier too.

I have never been in The Range before and its a great store, majority of the items are really affordable. There are many things, canvases, really big ones, lamps, kitchen storage jars, even aquatic products etc.
The only downside for me is that the isles are really narrow and last time I saw a person on wheelchair struggling to manoeuvre.
Also I think there was Iceland store inside The Range which I found confusing.

Avoid.
False advertising.
Whenever you see anything marked as discounted, it will never be automatically discounted at the till.
I was aware of this, so just made sure they would discount the Christmas Card I bought by 50% (as advertised everywhere.)
Needless to say they would only discount by 30% as 'exclusions apply'
I'm done with this place. Nobody likes being ripped off.
Also, in general this place is very expensive for cheap Chinese rubbish.
HomeBargains in my opinion is a much better alternative, much, much cheaper.

Well stocked but sometimes its the things you need they don't have or sold out. Poor label pricing difficult to see how much things are as labels pulled off and not replaced. Not enough staff on the check outs.
