Lots of extras on and around the grounds. I stayed in the hostel (not camping) and it was great. They have a small, but well built kitchen available. Comfortable, sturdy beds, friendly and very helpful staff. They have a small shop available during regular hours with things you may need. Large social area, with comfy seating, next to the kitchen (also dining area). Amazing views and surrounding forest area.

Best place to put a hostel - surrounded by woodland and hill country; peaceful and inspiring! All you need and nothing you don't - one of the traditional rather than modern hostels, and all the better for it. Only downsides due to the fact that this is a small hostel: rooms and kitchen correspondingly small, so could get cramped when the hostel is full - but then if you're staying here you'd be spending most of your time outside anyway. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you.

YHA in the Surrey Hills that feels like it's in the middle of nowhere. Brilliant location for walking or cycling, several tent pitches on-site and the usual YHA facilities.

The kitchen was reasonably well equipped with utensils and there was sufficient food storage space.

There aren't many shops within the immediate vicinity, there is however a pub that serves food in the village and local shops not too far away by car or bike.

Went there with my school. There was cracks in the walls, Matresses thst made 8 people's backs hurt and necks (only speaking for the g corridor). We heard screams and banning that wasn't our voices (It was an old womans voice) There was also crumbs on the bed, And the taps were loose. I would stay again but the voice and screams scared us alot not to mention that the beds were very unstable .

Two friends and I went to the hostel after our GCSE exam series and it was the perfect getaway. We booked a 4 room with 2 bunk beds which were all clean and comfortable, enough space for all of our bags. I was impressed to see a wall socket with the ability for a plug and two USB cables for charging devices.

There was a kitchen downstairs with a few microwaves, an oven, a kettle and all the utilities you would need for the stay including cutlery and cooking utensils. Directly next to the kitchen was a dining area which was perfect because we didn't need to walk far with our food before eating.

We did loads of walking, tonnes of options for trails, all with amazing views and wildlife. 5 pubs nearby, we went to the royal oak and the staff were very friendly and the food was great!

Overall, great stay, would highly recommend!

This was a great place to go after GCSEs of a lads holiday being under 18 it was easy to book only needing picture of a passport.

Has a kitchen with gas hobs microwave and cutlery. The beds were stable with clean bedsheets and there were usb plugs to charge your devices. There was a common area with dining room tables and a cafe armchair area.

Stunning location and view. It's so quiet and peaceful here. An escape from modern life. Hostel is basic but comfortable. There is no living room or tv which is a positive for us. Shower cubicles are a little small but they are clean and works fine.

Everything was extremely clean, comfortable, friendly and well-organised. There has clearly been a lot of thought and care put into anti-covid precautions. Of course it's a lovely spot to stay, especially if, like us, you want to ride out from the door to enjoy the mountain bike trails on Holmbury and Pitch Hills.
