Maypole Inn | Pub & Rooms

Called in for Sunday dinner on our way home from walking. We noticed it had re opened 8 weeks ago as we drive past regularly
The food was amazing - roast beef Sunday dinner - cooked to perfection and served in a good portion sizes - not over facing and enough for 2 hungry walkers. We then opted for the raspberry and apple crumble as a pudding between us (unable to manage a full one each!). Again this was amazing
The service we received was fabulous- nothing too much trouble, they were kind and courteous. The pub was warm and friendly - definitely recommend

We stumbled over this pub when looking for somewhere for lunch after a drive through the Dales and we couldn't have been happier with it. We received a very warm welcome on arrival (including a treat for the dog) and had exceptionally friendly service throughout our visit. The food was reasonably priced and delicious, and the portions were very generous. We would definitely return!

Stopped here after travelling down from Scotland. It was really quiet other than having a room above the kitchen as the fans was very noisy. The youngish lad in the restaurant side was really nice and agreed to do dessert after kitchen was close Which was nice of him. Would probably visit again.

We booked a table at the Maypole Inn when we were travelling up to Skipton today, ( Tuesday 23rd August)
We arrived in good time for our meal and was shown to our table.
Our party of four placed our orders and waited for the food to come to our table.
The starters arrived, not well presented!!.
The main meals arrived. 2 ham egg and chips.
1 stake pie.
1 Murphys stew.
Unfortunately the ladies who had the ham egg and chips were unable to eat it.
The reason was because the ham was a gammon steak, very tough.
We complained about this and was not charged.

We have a lovely few days away at the Maypole inn. Lovely food (the chef and the waitress were so friendly). A bus stop on the doorstep. Bus drivers chatty and helpful. We cam home feeling relaxed and rested. Recommend it to anyone xxxx.

Went last week with my partner. Did not stay, just lunch. Pretty poor unseasoned food, no presentation, just slop! Expensive for what we had. All round good pub but food let it down. Won’t be eating again.

Stopped for a light lunch on the way back from the Lakes. Hot beef and onion gravy baguette only spoilt by an inedible (for me) chewy hot bendy baguette, not the crispy baguette I was expecting. Great pint of real Gamekeeper ale though!

Excellent food, very clean, comfortable and well equipped room and all the staff were brilliant.
