George Street Hotel

Just had a lovely short stay, lovely hidden gem right in the heart of Oxford. Lovely room, a brilliant night's sleep, couldn't believe how quiet it was, being so close to the centre. The staff were brilliant, especially sanj who spent time offering suggestions on where to visit, eat and drink, saved a lot of time when we were only here for 2 days and all his recommendations were perfect. Highly recommended this hotel, will definitely be back. Thank you

This was a charming upscale hotel in the middle of all of the action in downtown Oxford. The room was excellent the staff was very friendly and we were close to everything that you would want to see and do in that town. There is no room service or eating facility in the hotel, but the restaurants next door and up and down the same street were very good. Be aware that you may walk past the hotel entrance without realizing it. It is next to a bank branch and across from the new theater. The lobby is one floor higher and the rooms are above that so they are very quiet. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Oxford.

Stayed in a single room on the ground floor. The room was supposed to be soundproof, however, it was not. I could hear someone using the hairdryer in another room on the same floor which woke me up in the morning. The staff were friendly and polite and the check in and check out was smooth. The stay in a cramped room like that is probably suitable for a one night stay but not great for a weekend or a longer holiday.

The room is clean and well cleaned.
It is close to the downtown area and lively outside, but it is close to the bus terminal and convenient.
It's the best place to stay in Oxford!
The rates are reasonable and the staff are polite and impressive.

The staff at this hotel is probably some of the nicest I have ever met. They helped me out in so many was. The room was nice and clean, but it's always a funny feeling when you are in a room with now windows. The location is one of the best in Oxford with just minutes walk to everything.

Horrible experience all around. Bad staff, rude owner who tried to overcharge for multiple things on my account after checkout. Unless you want to be scammed I would recommend staying at a hotel located elsewhere in Oxford.

It is a decent enough hotel with horrid service and an evil, lying, and disgusting human as an owner. Avoid at all costs.

I definitely wish that I have read the reviews before booking this. The room that we’ve stayed in looked nothing like the one on the pictures when I was booking it. It was small, once I had my suitcase open there wasn’t any room to move around the room, I couldn’t sleep due to the noise from the outside and it smelt of cigarettes. I was disappointed with my experience at this hotel. Definitely not a 5* hotel.
