Arrived 0915 and ordered a tea and a latte for my companion, it is now 15 minutes had past and the drinks are nowhere to be found, the waitress came with a black coffee and an orange juice which we did not order. Prior to this, when we arrived at the restaurant area, we were offered to have our breakfast in a dark BAR area! Never in my life I was offered to eat elsewhere! We were surprised why the waitress treated us like that, I actually declined to eat in a dark unlit pub as it’s 0915ish. Who wants to eat in a dark room that smells alcohol? I cannot understand why we need to eat there, back to the restaurant, all I could see are white men on three tables. Latte was served but the lady was not apologetic. I need to get up my seat to find an assistance, no ketchup on site, I managed to see a gentleman and he was the manager, he assisted me with the ketchup taken from a huge plastic bottle, offered to bring to me (it’s awkward to see him doing that), requested for a slice of lemon and again did not arrive, had to get up again and found the lady in a room having her breakfast! Had to request the staff in the kitchen and he obliged however at that time, the lady waitress put a lemon on our table - different style of slice from the chefs’. The supervisor wa seen going round asking if everything is ok and I said NO. He asked why and I replied that we will discuss it later as I want him to save face with the other customers. Two slices of bread are not enough (small portion). The plate arrived warm though but it looks very un-appealing (garnish?). The scrambled egg was a good taste, carpet was dirty even at low light you could see it. Cleaning stuff was dirty too! The tea cup seems worn out or dirty. Our time was spent sharing this experience - it was a bad … very bad experience. The manager says the breakfast is on him and when I say unfortunately, I had to leave a review, I leave his feelings in this restaurant and the main purpose of the review is to upgrade the service and he needs to know as a manager.

I rarely leave reviews but felt compelled to do so having had a fabulous lunchtime meal. It was also my father's 86th birthday and the staff went out of their way to make the meal special. The choice from the menu was great plus there were four specials. The food was great, the service excellent and the setting delightful. Highly recommended.

I have stayed in many places all over the world and even some places I have stayed at in third world countries have been better than this! The noise is beyond... The rooms are in the car park and where the beer garden/outdoor seating area is. It is midnight now and still shouting and screaming going on outside from drunks. We had to move rooms because the first one was terribly noisy... Upstairs creaking floors can be heard, noise from people going up and down the stairs, car engine noises, shouting, screaming, front door slamming. The list goes on. And I wouldn't bother eating food there. My chicken Kiev had the biggest bone in and the end of the chicken was raw! The portion sizes are disgusting for the price. The chicken Kiev comes with a tiny salad and costs £19.50 for no accompaniments or sides like potatoes or fries. Have to order them separately. Will not be staying here again. So disappointed in our stay. If you want a peaceful relaxing time away, then avoid this place at all costs!

This is a great pub hotel in the centre of the village. The rooms ar well appointed - nice touches like complimentary sloe gin in the rooms. The restaurant is also good. The service was good and we would stay again.

Had a very nice room, no complaints there. Food whilst very nice it was very expensive. No sides like veg or fries included on most dishes which was wrong for the £££. Pub and hotel side can't fault, restaurant bit over priced for what you get.

Visited for Sunday lunch yesterday 06/11/22, service was good however the roast dinner was terrible, the roast beef was all curled up, the roast potatoes were hard & the gravy was just as bad as the food.
A real shame as the food used to be really good here.

Requested a late lunch here and they were very accommodating. The food was of good value and the ales were in fine condition. Worth a visit.

Lovely bar, room and restaurant. Staff friendly and helpful. Menu quite limited as Sunday evening and quite a few items missing. Room and bed huge & comfy, missing spare power sockets and a luggage rack. A few small tweaks would make a difference but would visit again.
