We decided that we would have our wedding here and many of our guest stayed over. Our room was fantastic! Could not fault staff, Tom and Samantha went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. I cannot thank you enough for making our day special. Great selection for breakfast with plenty of food for all. Would definitely recommend to others.

We went for afternoon tea at this hotel. Food was ample fresh and tasty. The staff were friendly and polite most importantly helpful. Would definitely go again . Please note we had more sandwiches and cake than the photo shows.

Had a pleasant stay here. In the room we were given on arrival the air conditioning did not work but we were given a different room without any fuss. The room itself although nice and clean showed one or two signs of wear and tear and looked a little dated but it's a very old country house so that is to be expected. The service throughout the hotel was very good particularly in the bar and the food and drinks were reasonably priced. All in all this is a decent hotel with hard working staff. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Reception were. Very helpful I checked in fast with no problems but my partner didn't have the same experience when he arrived with staff confronting him. Asking what he's doing there as if he was. Upto no good. Room. Was clean n fresh as was bathroom but the ceiling in the room slants and with the table and chairs right underneath I ended up really banging my head hard with a massive bump

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Staff on reception are very unwelcoming, un-helpful and look like they just don't want to be there. I was ignored for a while before I was greeted with a very unfriendly welcome. Room and hotel is dated and not the cleanest, drinks are very over priced, did not feel comfortable or settled in this hotel at all, loud wedding party going on the following day I was staying (not the wedding parties fault as they should enjoy their special day) but my room was located above it and it was so loud I ended up driving back that evening and not staying my second night. Chased the manager for a refund which I was told he would call me back each day, he was so rude and unapologetic and did not care either. Finally got my refund for the second night 4 days later after chasing from another member of staff. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone nor would I ever stay here again. I would rather sleep in my car and feel comfortable and welcome. Please don't waste your money and stay somewhere else. Please remember to the staff at this hotel SERVICE GOES SUCH A LONG WAY! One of the worst I have ever stayed in!

DO NOT ACCEPT ROOM 2! Kept awake because it is situated on the stairs. Tiny comparedto the other rooms. Bathroom grubby and make shift silicon on tiles to replace grubby dirty grout. Same price as others rooms. Badly fitting curtains. Kettle lid insecure. Overall not conducive to a restful sleep. Breakfast was served til 10am, but then swiftly taken off taken away so you have arrive well before to eat.plus staff rude reaching over when try to get coffee. On arrival late Saturday the receptionist was friendly. However the following morning when approached about our concerns was less than helpful. He claims I am mistaken but when other customers approached I believe he indicated for me to be quiet Unbeknownst to me his manager was present and just walked off without assisting When the receptionist tried to find him he had disappeared. On checking my credit card I now find an extra £10 charge added to my bill post departure.

Had a 2 night stay and all was good. Staff were lovely, breakfast was very good parking also good. Room was a good size and well equipped and very clean. The room was a little bit worn and the restaurant menu was limited but what we had was cook perfectly. I would not hesitate to stay again. The only reason I dropped 1 star was because the room was a bit worn but I'm being picky.

Rated this experience 9 because of the reception staff, Hayley and 2 other delightful ladies who were so accommodating - 24th/25th Dec and 12/13th January. We stayed because of a death in the family and a funeral and these ladies could not have been more compassionate, understanding or professional. A real asset to the hotel. The rooms I would rate a lot lower as they do need updating and some of the furnishings were stained but the hotel is very convenient for my needs and despite this will continue to stay there.
