You get what you pay for however, for £45 I expected a little better. The bathroom had mould on the ceiling and the bedroom had a wardrobe that was very lose and moved if you bumped into it. Tea and coffee facilities were fine. There is an old fat TV on the counter that does work but it a very shoddy picture. The bed was very comfortable though. These accommodations are fine for contractors and travellers. Just needs so TLC and tougher cleaning schedules! Would potentially stay here again if in the area due to its location.

Nothing absolutely luxurious but it's five stars because it wasnt bad for only £25 a night and there were shops nearby and easy bus routes and helpful staff to give you an idea and the place is code locked for safety the kettle in our room was broken and I'm sure they would have sorted it but being honest I just didn't ask . Shared bathroom but it wasn't too far from the room it was ok and the linen and place was very clean and tidy. There were fridges and a freezer. It was a little hard to open the door in our room and it kept banging into the freezer but as long as nobody or nothing was injured that's the main thing. No signs were up so it can be a maze but little details helped us find our friends rooms like steps and things so my advice is be careful but honestly the staff were so sweet and kind that i would recommend this hotel and the beds were ok too.

The beds were comfy but the rest of the hotel is terrible. The communal shower head doesn't stand properly, the toilet makes a very loud noise when flushed, the toilet was refilling constantly, the building seems like it's falling apart with cracks in the walls and it just seems like no-one who runs the place cares enough to give the guests a decent experience. Won't be staying again.

This place was beyond poor. Only can be described as filthy, dirty and disgusting. Stains on matrices, towels, walls, curtains! Stains on stains. The shower on the top floor didn't work, there were bloodstains on the walls, dirty floor that looked as though it hadn't been hoovered in about a decade, bogeys stuck to the walls, broken window latch. Just felt grubby sitting in the room. My friend was shouted at by a member of staff so we decided to leave as we felt very unsafe staying in our room. Even for a cheap stay, don't do it!

Well, what do you say about this place? There are many bad reviews online, but it's all about how you take it, to be honest. The place is certainly warm, and was comfortable, but even a 1 star hotel it is not. The staff are a bit rough around the edges, but they are friendly and helpful, and good for a laugh. Goddis Lodge is good for a cheap overnight (or two night) place to stay. It is clean, and has hot and cold running water. If you are fussy about anything else then don't stay here. If you need a place to crash then give it a go. Just to say, there was a dangerous socket in our room with a plug in it where the live pin had melted. We mentioned this to the staff as we left, so hopefully they did something about it. Television reception was good in the rooms we had. Oh, and the toilet upstairs made a loud humming noise whenever it was flushed. Take it or leave it.

My partner an I stayed here once only in pure desperation for a room having missed our connection home. The place is beyond words. I have never been so horrified by a complete lack of cleanliness and customer service. I’ve checked my dogs into cleaner kennels! This place is only fit to accommodate its infestation of bed bugs. Definitely humans. The shared bathroom was fowl, there was mould in places you wouldn’t even think mould could grow. Floorboards lose, TV didn’t work, door didn’t lock. OUR BED HAD LONG BLACK HAIRS IN IT. Sheets weren’t clean and neither of us could sleep we lay on top of the bed in misery awaiting the morning an trains running.

You get what you pay for right?!? Surprisingly the service I had here was really good better than some hotels! The room wasn't that great, floor was more uneven than the sea! The door handle was about to fall off till I fixed it! The window handle was missing so when the wind picked up... The window would open. And the toilet... Well just read the reviews for that alone.... 😂

It is a welloming place and a home away from home. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is very suitable for family holiday as well as individual holiday. I enjoyed my short stay there.
