Stopped for lunch after a walk on Ashridge. The Badger Best was very well kept, so I expect the Fursty Ferret would have been good too. Really enjoyed a seafood sharing platter with a good tasty selection. The dessert was a bit cheeky but it was very good indeed.

Wonderful Sunday lunch. We walked from Pitstone and arrived on time for our booking, which is essential. The roast was well cooked and with enough gravy on the plate. Sirloin Beef with red cabbage, green beans, carrots and of course roast potatoes. Finally Yorkshire pudding. One on our table had the steak pie (best seller even on a Sunday apparently) which received big accolades. Profiteroles and chocolate brownie to follow delicious. All washed down with excellent bitter.

Had a superb lunch here. First time but certainly not the last time. Great service. Friendly and helpful.
Food was beautifully cooked and delicious 😋
Would recommend this place to eat whether lunch or dinner but do book. Very popular!

We stayed for 4 nights. The greyhound is in a very pretty village. We had a room downstairs in the courtyard. Perfect with no stairs for us. Very clean and comfortable. Good tea and coffee facilities. Very helpful and friendly staff. We ate in the restaurant a few nights and excellent food.

Went for lunch with a friend today. Beautiful setting and a nice interior with a large room at the back which I didn’t see until I went to the toilet, warm cosy bar at the front too. We had steak pie, which came with good fresh chips and veg that could probably have done with a little butter and seasoning, but they were fine. Well kept real ale at a perfect temperature and timely service. Good place, we came upon it by accident but will return.

Went for a dog walk on a Sunday afternoon, very welcome inside with the dog. Had bread with olives and balsamic with olive oil. Warm bread was delicious, served with baked garlic clove. Sat outside as was so sunny, good brought out very quickly

We had our friends Christmas Dinner here the other night (22 of us) we had a good night and the young staff were really good. The food was good considering the place was really busy. Strange thing though was last orders was called at 10.45. We were expecting at least 11.55. We all brought our taxi's forward. We all had more money to spend!!!
