Got married at the Quy Mill in 2018 and it was amazing from start to finish.
Helen was very helpful and answered many questions of mine as quickly as she could. They day went perfectly and there was no problems with the venue. Food , drinks and service were superb! The bridal suite was lovely!

Thank you all for making our day so special! X

The hotel is set in beautiful country side and at first glance looks really elegant and fancy, but after entering our room we soon realised this wasn’t the case, very standard rooms, and the dust was almost unbearable, on every single surface there was dust and not just a little you could tell it hasn’t been cleaned in a long time, after the second night myself and my partner woke up with sore throats and noses, this wouldn’t surprise me if it was down to the amount of dust on the fans. Some of the staff were lovely, very helpful and a few others weren’t as friendly which set a weird vibe. The hot tub was out of order which sucked and the “spa/pool” felt more like a leisure centre than a spa. The breakfast was yummy, lots of options which was great! All in all I don’t think we’ll be staying again, the gardens of the hotel are stunning but the rooms are just not up the scratch. I would give it a miss.

Booked a 1 night stay here for a birthday fairly last minute. Hotel and room was nice, friendly staff, easy check in, comfy bed, air con, nice bathroom.

The bar food is quite expensive for what it is in my opinion. And the decor has certainly seen better days (needs a dusting too!), but the food was nice and the service was quick - back to that in a second.

We had the Sunday Spa package, and I tried to pre book the included treatments but couldn’t get through on the phone. Luckily they managed to fit us in - and the hotel receptionist made a point of letting them know if the Spa were too full.

The Spa itself is nice. When we went it was pretty quiet, the sauna/steam rooms were reasonable, though certainly the steam room could do with a refurb. The changing rooms were clean, and the pool was nice. The relaxation room is comfy and all in, we had a good experience - that being said it’s pretty small so at peak times I imagine it can get busy.

Breakfast the hotel was excellent, impressive continental and well done Full English (x 2). On the service and worth mentioning - the young lad (black hair who did dinner service Saturday night and Breakfast Sunday morning 21/01-22/01) is an absolute credit to the hotel. I was really impressed, he’s tentative, quick to solve problems and help where he can, and he has a sense of humour and personality! Thank you for my extra mushroom!

Would stay here again, those few niggles I’ve mentioned would make this place a 5* for me! Thanks for a good stay,

Amazing food. Staff were really friendly. The whole place was spotless! Toilets were clean. The building was warm. Has a large carpark which does get quite busy. I would 100% recommend to anyone.

We just had a 3 night Christmas break here, and the staff were absolutely amazing, friendly, helpful, and a credit to the hotel. The food was excellent, and the rooms were lovely and clean. Thank you so much from us both. We stayed in room 206.

Quy mill hotel and spa Cambridge 🤢🤢🤢

I had booked Quy mill hotel and spa for the a Christmas gift for my family after a tough and challenging year. Not only had I paid over £3200 for this accommodation I am utterly disgusted and so frustrated by the hygiene and cleanliness of Quy mill hotel and spa.

Not what I expect from a 4 star aa awarded hotel and venue. We travelled over three hours to stay at this facility and to be honest we couldn’t believe what we arrived to. One thing after another it was unbelievable. I have stayed in various hotels and accommodations throughout the country and since the COVID 19 pandemic in my personal experience hygiene and cleanliness has in increased and became of Paramount importance.

I cannot believe the state of the hotel and spa , Not only has there been a bladed knife found in the spa changing rooms, electric wires exposed dirty underwear, litter everywhere, filth and debris throughout floors of the whole hotel, there were dirty plates left outside for over 24hours huge patches of mould, and peeling ceilings, urine
Stains on toilets. Broken baths and broken taps, hair in sink, used toiletries in lockers, dangerous chemicals in changing rooms.

The List goes on……..

Please take your time to look through these photos

I asked to speak to management several times throughout my stay, I was told by the head chef that the manager was away and he was head of management until he returned.

After emails and endless calls to speak to management a got a call a day after checking out and leaving the hotel. Not only was the manager rude he also said I have caused him so much stress and that I was to fussy, we had a discussion about the exposed wires in the corridor along with harmful chemicals and bladed knife that had been left in open lockers. As I had three young children staying with me I said that it was so dangerous to leave this sort of thing in the reach of children and this could of been a bad outcome if I didn’t notice this first, He then said ( children should be under parents supervision so it wouldn’t be a problem )

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.

He then went on to say that I was picking holes in his hotel and spa and that I was to fussy, along with the hotel will choose there customers a little more carefully!

I don’t want this to happen again to any other unfortunate families.

The food was nice on Christmas day and the staff are lovely. but you definitely need more than one member of staff serving
2pm sit down ..we were still waiting for the starter at 2.30 ..and waited over an hour for the dessert .I was fed up to be honest
