OYO The Old Lodge

Enjoyed our stay here, John the manager was friendly and welcoming. Told us everything we needed to know regards our stay. Breakfast is a FULL English if you choose it. Totally set up for the day after that. Room was clean, with decent sized en suite shower room. Perfect for Stokes Bay it’s a five minute walk away. Would recommend.

We had previously been staying at the Premier Inn in Gosport but after the last shocking experience decided to try somewhere else it also being considerably cheaper. I wasn’t sure before arriving what to expect but I shouldn’t have worried. The hotel is in the best bit of Gosport not far from the sea amongst some fantastic properties. We were greeted by a guy called John who made our stay. He did everything including a fantastic breakfast how he didn’t run out of energy I don’t know. The room was exceptionally quiet and very clean.
This is our now place to stay in Gosport really excellent though I’m not sure how efficient it would be without John as you would need three people to replace him !

We were a very large group of 14, including 4 children, we booked seats in advance for the Sunday evening. Lovely staff, bit of a mix up with the orders but I put that down to being so many sunday roasts ordered and most were different meals too, brilliant starter and amazing pudding. There was a lovely garden with a bouncy castle there too.

What a great little place the Old Lodge is! John could not have been more helpful, what a lovely guy. This lovely affordable hotel was an easy pleasant 20 minute coast view walk to the venue we were attending in Gosport. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic a PROPER full English definitely worth every penny.

Clean, cosy, great value, fantastic food! Also some of the most helpful and welcoming hotel staff I've ever met. 100% recommend I would absolutely come back to stay again :)

Went there on a date, Nice food, Nice service. Nice and cozy as its not Needlessly big likr some other places. Didnt try the rooms

One ale and a long wait for inexperienced staff at very small bar.
Focus is on overnight guests and restaurant rather than visiting public.

Stayed here for a long weekend. Couldn't ask for more! Very friendly and helpful staff. John and his staff made us feel very welcome. Room clean and comfortable. Atmosphere in the bar on both nights was very friendly. One chap was even playing sing along songs on his guitar which we Couldn't resist joining in with. Can't wait to return soon.
