Room beginning to show it's age. The policy of removing towel heated towel rail means towels need replacing everyday, ok by me but is it cost effective.
Mattress protector and no air-conditioning and inadequate ventilation can make for an uncomfortable and sweaty 'sleep'.

There are two categories of Travelodge: good and needs to be knocked down and rebuilt from scratch. Sadly, this hotel is in the later of the two. I stayed for three nights and my room wasn’t cleaned during my stay. The furnishings are a little bit tired, and there is no air conditioning. Not ideal on the hottest day in British history. I was provided with a small desk fan, though I couldn’t use it as there were only two plugs readily available in the room, and I required my devices fully charged for work. Due to a local event, we ended up paying £150 a night for a product that was frankly maybe worth a fifth of that. The reason I gave the hotel two stars and not one was the employees. Every employee that I interacted with was a kind as I’ve come across in a hotel, doing what they can to help, despite the hotel’s dire state. Keep up the good work on that side!

Large space and double bed was comfortable. However it was dirty and in desperate need of refurbishment. The carpet was very old and most parts of the carpet (mainly under the window and by the door) is all bleached. I don’t think they actually have cleaners as I stayed for 4 nights and my room didn’t get cleaned once. I had no 4g my whole stay and you have to pay for the wifi. Wouldn’t stay here again

Room okay for the night .. the extra long black hair on the shower wall wasn't the best. Along side elle the elephant upstairs sounding liked they were moving the room around at midnight did cause a slightly restless night.

Very basic hotel, rooms and hotel look tired need redecoration. Stayed two Saturday nights two months apart on both occasions hotel was noisy with doors banging people running about, and strange smells in rooms. Facilities very basic bed, shower/bath and TV. Breakfast box only option or Waitrose petrol station over the road. On a traffic island so lots of traffic and a noisy train line nearby. Hotel would work if your just getting your head down after visiting someone or something else. Very dark car park. Revisited this hotel for work, Feb 2022, and hotel still needs referbishment, and still very noisy at night.

Rooms quite shabby, bedding was really poor. We didn't arrive until almost midnight and stayed for just 1 night so didn't complain, very convenient location for the train to London

Room was clean. There’s a Starbucks right around the corner if you want food/drink. The only bad thing was the noise of the trains as there is a train track in front of the hotel. Parking is great. Easy access to motorway.
