Station Hotel

Nice traditional pub,just drop in occasionally, friendly people, and bar staff,cider always kept well n great price.pool table,sky TV n jukebox, all in all cracking good pub.

Friendly staff and customers made us feel very welcome. They do coffee and cake for £2.49, bargain

To be clear this is not an hotel, not now anyway, it's a public house [or bar, as is the contemporary term]. It is a wonderfully grandiose building, albeit displaying a somewhat faded glory.

At one time, standing next to the station as it does, it would have been a reasonably well appointed hotel for weary travelers to lay their heads and rest awhile. But times change, and Nelson no longer boasts a thriving economy based around the cotton industry and, likewise, no longer attracts the sort of visitor who wishes for overnight accommodation and so the hospitality now offered is limited to food and drink.

Ok for a quick pint, get some dodgy people in there and what Id call dole dossers that aren't really friendly

It is what it is. If your mates are in always a laugh if not a pint & home

Thought I would give this wonderful building a second try to see if the pub or brewery had given the staff a reboot , un fortunately it’s got worse . Not a man pleasant place to be unless you are one the dole and like a spliff or two . It’s a real shame as there are only two pubs in the town and may soon be one

Under new management, Gemma only having taken over last weekend. At present it is just a pub although Gemma has great plans for the future which will hopefully be backed by the pub company As the name suggests it is right next to Nelson Interchange so ideal for local buses and the (limited) rail services.

Very good, good band on quite busy one of my regular haunts.
