Travelodge Gloucester

Where do I start?. The staff, especially Vanessa are lovely? Very overworked but still pleasant. That's where the positives end. The hotel is a dump. Very tired, carpets, beds, mould in the shower etc. Room wasn't cleaned once in a 4 night stay. Even had to ask at reception for toilet roll. It's also on the main road with traffic lights. Very, very noisy!. If you do risk it... Don't eat there. Food is the poorest I've ever experienced. It's all microwave stuff. Never finished one meal all week it's that poor. Will never stay in a Travelodge again.

The staff was friendly, helpful, caring and polite.
The rooms are in need of updating,family room we had the window view was looking out to a car park,and was very small considering other travelodges I have been to.
The decoration of the room as I said needs updating as the paint work in the bathroom was a red colour, the beds was comfy but base a little tatty.
The food was great, but a little to many burgers in a bun( enough to lead you to having a stroke. 3 burgers in a bun. Couldn't eat it all) the food in general was plenty, but not enough vegetarian food,unless you like salads. 🤮
I liked my short stay but room was a little small for a disabled user. Bathroom red and small to.
Otherwise all good.

Great Travelodge, always cautious when I book with them, however Gloucester Travelodge was great, it was very clean, staff very helpful though appeared under staffed at times as the person booking people in was also trying to run the bar, not good when you are thirsty.
Breakfast was great and worth paying the extra for.....Healthy options Inc cereal and of course the full English
Location wise, next door to the main shopping centre less than a minute to the first pub and less than 10mins from the Quay for lost of pubs and restaurants

Useful overnighter while visiting the docks area, they will subsidise the shoppers car park overnight charge if you get your ticket validated by reception. Clean tidy rooms, decent breakfast/ coffee bar

Visited twice for work in the last few weeks. Very attentive staff. Lovely clean room good parking and they have a restaurant and a bar. Decided to make Gloucester our pre Christmas weekend well based for city centre and the Christmas Market in the Docks

Was wonderful until the fire alarm set off at midnight and didn't get turned off for a good few minutes. By the time I got resettled the people next door start snoring marathon by 3am and I couldn't sleep. However travel lodge is known for its strong powerful hot showers that never fails me! Other than this the staff were lovely and so was the location and reception staff were extremely informative in regards to parking.

⚠️⚠️⚠️ Caution ! If you want to stay safe with family and have peaceful sleep, then please avoid this Travelodge, because this Travelodge is attached with Bar and crowd is not decent. Also this Travelodge has no security doors, so it is easily accessible for homeless ⚠️⚠️⚠️

We went there on Christmas Eve for a one night stay, there was Fights going on in the Bar and it was very very scary. We did not feel safe at all. We checked out the hotel as soon as we checked in.
At that time in the night we searched for another accommodation which is not a pleasing thing to do while you are on a trip.

Such a worst experience.
Please avoid if possible.

Lovely friendly staff. Great breakfast. Rooms are fine for a short stay and are clean.
