Good hotel and centrally located. Front desk can be funky at times. We reserved for a week, but had to change rooms in between once. They mean well. The restaurant is excellent and very good room service. The rooms are adequate. My main problem was that there is very little cupboard space. In fact the rooms are not meant for long term stay. The furnishing is minimum with no thoughts given for storage. The end tables near the bed for example could have had some cupboards for storing small stuff. We practically have to live off the suitcases. Never stayed in a hotel with such minimum cupboard space.
There is a beautiful park just in front of the Hotel and is very pleasant.

Stunning looking hotel that together with the prices communicates luxury hotel but not so. Arrival was not great. Stupid small manual revolving door that makes it difficult to access with even just one suitcase. Small check in desk with only one person on duty so people kept waiting. Eventually another member of staff came out of the office. No help with luggage. No hotel information in room. Hanging space and drawers limited. I was on my own booked for 10 days and there was just enough space. Breakfast very ordinary and obviously plated up in kitchen rather than cooked fresh. Limited choice.
Trying afternoon tea next week 🤞

Went for cream tea in the afternoon. Sat outside but walked through the lobby and the restaurant. Both were tastefully decorated and kept tidy and elegant. Staff was pleasant and welcoming. We chose a table outside in the garden. Table was clean, the chairs comfortable. The grass was patchy and uneven however.

Service was quick and polite, tea selection adequate. Menu said loose leaf tea but it was tea bags. One tea bag in the pot which held 3 cups of tea (should be 4 as 3 for the cups and 1 for the pot.) Tea (Earl Grey) was tasty. Had to ask for milk separately as that was forgotten. When it was brought to the table it was the perfect amount and was heated which is a nice touch. The scones were warm and felt fresh. All in all, good cream tea.

Toilets were immaculate and fresh. No faults there.

Would go again, trying something more substantial.

It's a nice hotel in a fantastic location. The staff are great, kind, helpful and professional. The room was just OK but unable to use the shower as drain was blocked. I was compensated for this inconvenience.

Would I return, certainly.

Booked a table for dinner in the garden. When we arrived, the waiter didn't acknowledge us. We waited 5 minutes and then my husband walked into the restaurant and asked if we needed to order at the bar, the waitress said no, someone will be out to take our order. No one came out, so we left. As we left, we looked through the window and saw all of the staff stood around the bar. Also the pictures of the garden are a lot nicer online than in real life.

It's our second visit to the hotel, we enjoyed it then and we enjoyed the experience even more this time! The hotel has a regal setting to it, all the rooms have a touch of elegance about them, the staff are all helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble! The hotel left a gift of chocs in our room to celebrate my wife's retirement, a lovely touch, thank you and we will see you next year! Thank you.

Having previously lived in Cheltenham many years ago I was well aware of its charms. I had eaten in the Queens but never stayed there. I remembered it as a lovely hotel and was not disappointed. If what makes a hotel is the staff then all I can say is how lovely and welcoming it all was. Good breakfast choice well presented. Will be back without a doubt.

I believe they are about to have major renovations and they are definitely needed in some hallway areas/rooms. Service was ellxcellent and anywhere that allows dogs gets +1 from me. Breakfast wasn't very good but again the service and overall experience was fantastic. Couldn't ask for a better location either, walk outside and you're virtually on the main shopping strip of Cheltenham. Would recommend.
