The Alverbank Hotel

Lovely building in a great setting. Staff were helpful and everything well presented. Food service in the bar/ restaurant was a leisurely pace but food was very tasty and reasonably priced. Nice location next to woods and park, and near the pebbly beach. Only criticism would be that if the bar isn't going to be open most nights a small fridge in the room would be kind especially for the very hot weather we have been having. Not many shops or other pubs and bars close by, so plan your visit and meals accordingly! A continental breakfast, but well presented and served in the lovely dining room which opens out on to the gardens.

Our visit was to see our Family and New-born Granddaughter. We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who took us up to our room, which was a really nice touch, and asked us if their was anything we needed. The room was spotlessly clean, teas coffees and biscuits available, beautiful cotton bedlinen and luxurious bath towels.
Breakfast was served by a very smiley welcoming host. We were served an amazing continental assortment with ample choice of everything.
In the evening we booked a table for ourselves and family and 2 week old granddaughter,(was she the youngest to dine?). Very varied menu, including good vegan choices. Waiter and waitresses outstanding.
Will book this hotel again to see our family, the grounds are truly amazing. Next time we will book the Seaview room with the free standing bath overlooking the Solent, for that added bit of luxury.
Sadly I forgot to get all of your names but everyone we talked to were amazing and made our stay enjoyable.

Had Sunday roast with family, staff very friendly and nothing too much trouble, we added an extra person at last minute. The table on the terrace in the garden had very comfortable chairs and the atmosphere, view of the Solent and an extremely pleasant ' house ´ Merlot made the nominal wait for food 'slip' by.
The food was without doubt of the highest quality. I had the Lamb shoulder perfectly done with all the trimmings. My daughter had the roast beef, again, faultless, slightly pink, generous slices and beautifully tender again with all the trimmings. My wife and son had the crab fish cakes again beautifully presented and generous proportions. Now I don't normally write reviews and when you go out to eat you should expect a decent standard but sadly that's often not the case so I felt compelled to leave a review for this venue, which is exceptional. It was also good value. Thank you Alverbank staff and complements to the Chef, we will all be returning!

This beautiful hotel has been completely transformed by Abby and David and her lovely team. Stunning location, tastefully decorated throughout, comfortable bed and room, spotlessly clean. I can't fault it at all.
We have already booked several more stays and special celebratory meals with my family.
The big plus for us also is we can have our dog with us. All the staff made a real fuss of him and we able to relax as hexwas in a completely enclosed safe space when he was in the garden andxwe had the woods, park and beach walks just a few paces away.

Attended a wedding this Bank Holiday weekend. Accommodation was good, the staff were professional and friendly, the food was superb and the garden setting was ideal. Well done and thank you to all.

Friends had their wedding reception here and we all stayed overnight afterwards - it was fantastic! Staff were incredible, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The views across the sea are brilliant too, thoroughly recommend.

We stayed for 3 nights with relatives and friends to celebtate our wedding. The accommodation was ideal for our special day with a buffet evening before. The food was excellent and the staff amazing, nothing was too much for them. A particular thanks to Billie who ensured everything went according to plan. We thoroughly recommend this delightful hotel.

We held a family function at the Alverbank Hotel in December. It was really excellent. The place is lovely, atmospheric and charming.
The staff could not have been more helpful or charming. Ethan was particularly good. From booking to execution, Ethan could not have done more. He has a real ‘can do’ attitude and a friendly and approachable demeanour. Nothing was too much trouble and his attention to detail was admirable.
One of the delightful owners, Abby, was also amazing, helping to sort out some issues with the slideshow we were using.
I can’t recommend the Alverbank too highly!
