Pennington Hotel

Ravenglass is really a lovely little place. And the hotel was very good indeed. We had lunch there, beautifully prepared and quite delicious. And......some rather nice nibbles. Do go you'll love it

Staff helpful and approachable, room needed a little touch of paint in places but it is an old building, due to the weather room was very hot, no aircon, a fan would of been useful. Evening meal good sized portions, breakfast was tasty but small portion. Overall worth a stay if in the area.

booked to have dinner there. Ordered drinjs- they don't know the difference between orange juice and cordial, as when we asked for an orange juice and lemonade we got cordial, which was very sweet and not nice to drink. Then we were ignored for half an hour while people who came in after us were served and had their order taken.
took an hour overall for food to arrive. When we told the waitress (older woman with glasses,) that we had waited that long, she just laughed... and said they were busy. no apology just laughed at us. shocking service for a 3 star hotel. better service at the pub down the road! if you know you're going to be busy, get more staff on that know how to serve customers!

Had the most fantastic lunch here today! One of the most outstanding meals both myself and husband agreed one of the best! Never one to leave a review but today's lunch definitely deserves a 5star review. Lovely dining room, fantastic menu, will deffo be returning!

Dog friendly restaurant with lovely views of the Estuary. We had Cumberland sausage and mash/chips. Very tasty. We would certainly recommend it 🙂

Stayed 2 nights. Breakfast and evening meals were tasty and well proportioned. Lovely clean room and big comfy bed. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend.

My wife myself and our dog stayed the night and had all our meals at the Pennington Hotel. Amazing service throughout, room was spotlessly clean, the food was top shelf.
They even made our dog Hector scrambled egg for breakfast.
Cannot understand why The Pennington Hotel is only classed as a 3 star, we have stayed in places higher rated that don't come near to The Pennington standard.

Perfect!!! Great quiet location, the staff and locals were very friendly. The room was beautiful and a extremely comfortable bed! Food was very good and a great price too!! Can't recommend this place enough
